“Loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

This was awesome! The climb took about 45 mins and it's important to keep close attention to the red dots to help keep you on track. The views were stunning. We thought we had the place to ourselves and when we saw the 15 Kuna (less than $3) sign we looked at each other and wondered who was gonna take our entrance fee. There was a guy there reading a book. He took our entrance fee and was helpful in answering some of our questions. (He climbs the mountain in 13 minutes by the way…!) Definitely recommend this climb! Take water with you. I hadn't planned on climbing anything that day so I had flip flops on and I was just fine. But I'm a pro in flip flops! Coming down is a little more tricky but I'm still here...writing this review! So don't let a lack of preparation keep you from climbing to the top! Well worth it!!!

“Good for Photos :)”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

Finding the Castle was a task in itself. There should be more signs for the way to reach this place. Even after reaching this place if you don’t pay attention towards the petite painted fort and an arrow on the wall you will not notice which happened to us. There is not even a single tourist we found for this so called attraction!
The panoramic drive up to the parking is spectacular.

We climbed up half way and as it was too hot and absolute no one apart from my family we descended after capturing some stunning views.

“Amazing, make sure you wear hiking shoes!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013

The signs of this are a bit hard to find, but we managed to drive most of the way up the hill (Follow the signs that say Borek). You can technically walk from the old town, but we preferred to save our energy for the climb. We drove until the road ended in a circle, and just parked on the side of the road. There are stairs going up with a picture of the fortress, no sign. Once on the trail, follow the red dots all the way up hill! It took us about 45 mins of uphill trail hiking to reach the fortress, but it's a fantastic sight with no one around. There's even a picnic bench in the ruins of the courtyard. Very cool, bring water, and wear hiking shoes.

“worth to climb and see”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

We visit Omiš every year since 2009. In 2010 we visited the smaller castle, but then we can't find this. So we finally visited it on August 2011. You can choose either you climb from the old town all the way up or you can drive with car to the middle ( there is a small parking lot) and then climb up.
The path is signed, so there can't lost. We drive to the middle and then climb up so we spent about 45 minutes, for climbing. We forgot to take water so the climbing was very difficult. So remember, take a lot of water with you!!! :) But the path was very picturesque and on the top there were breath-taking view to Omiš and Adriatic see.

“castle in the clouds”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

Beautiful view of the sea, the islands and the entire Omis area. Something extraordinary and beyond words, you simply must come and see. You feel like you're in a giant nest on top of a mountain or in a boat that sails the clouds.
