“Good value for money; excellent place for one night stay!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2012

Spacious hotel room for the 4 of us with (although not an apartment) nice dining table with comfortable chairs and a balcony. Impeccable bathroom. We were looking for a place to stay at for one night only when visiting the Plitvicer Lakes. House Tina definitely met our requirements: pretty close to the National Park, good beds and simple complimentary breakfast. For the 10 yrs old there was a nice size 'soccer field' and some swings, so he could get rid off his energy in the evenings.

You can visit the park within a day, depending on time of arrival. However, should you need more time, a two-days entrance ticket is available. Driving distance from House Tina to entrance number 1 is 5-10 min. If going to this area again, we will definitely book a room at House Tina again.

Nice to have would be a small fridge in the room

Good location near Plitvice Lakes. Stayed in one of the two Bungalow's (1 queen bed & bunk beds) separate from the main house. It was very hot during our 2 night stay in early July and we were extremely glad we had air conditioning. Only the Bungalow's have air conditioning, the main house does not. Window's have shutters that can close to darken the room or for privacy. Owner's were both friendly, woman speaks English well. Can have laundry washed at an additional charge of 5 Euros per load. Bring your own shower soap/gel as the property does not supply any.

We only stayed here for one night while visiting Plitvice. Nice place with friendly owners. Great lounge area outside to meet other guests. Absolute recommendation.

you are likely to stay here to visit nearby Plitvice lakes!
Good adequate breakfast / they have chalets with air con and that would have suited us better had we known that we were to have 30 degrees+ / but we managed in the upstairs hotel rooms OK / ask for directions to get there and they will provide simple "can't go wrong" suggestions.
The lakes are fabulous but a challenging walk for some older / younger people.
If you only have one day available there then you will not see all of the lakes unless you are an "athlete".
So for a 1 day visit then go to Entrance 1 and do the "B" route I think it is?
It starts at the top and goes down which is a better way than to finish with a difficult climb.
Plan carefully with drinks for young children as there are not masses of stops for refreshments or a pee!
The cost is about £20 for a day with parking extra but it a great experience; if you can do all of it but in 2 days.
Getting to the lakes is easy in a hire car but do NOT do what some people did: left about 7am on a coach from Istria walked all day and then got home about midnight!
This is an area in which to relax and admire the scenery in a slow manner.
The restauarants near House Tina are not brilliant but the owner does recommend an acceptable one a short walk away although we preferred one a bit further away towards entrance 1 of the lakes.

Room Tip: maybe email before? there is a wide choice and you need to think about things such as aircon

Great B&B. The couple that runs the house was friendly and helped us with anything we needed. The guy doesn't speak a lot of English, and so that's probably why others have written that he is rude or doesn't talk to you much. Knowing that, ask his wife if you have any questions because she has very good English. The room was super clean, and the house is just down the road from the entrance to Plitvice Park. The room didn't have A/C, but the weather cooled down at night that the breeze was enough to keep the room cool.

Nice b&b with attentive, service minded owners. Clean, great breakfast and good location. We visited with two small children in a big room with four beds and a huge balcony.

On the negative side House Tina does not have air conditioning which we suffered from during the unusual heat that we had during our visit. On the other side the owners quickly invested in new fans which helped a lot.

If visiting Plitvice with kids this is a great place to stay!

This inn is fairly new and very clean. We found the owner to be very friendly and hospitable, even though we arrived late due to bad weather. We had reserved a double room, but we got upgraded to a suite--double bed downstairs, 3 single beds in a loft, kitchenette and lots of room. It would be a great place for a family to stay. Very good breakfast in the morning--eggs plus a good choice of other options like cereal and yogurt. Very convenient, only a few km from the park.
