We spent the last week of May 2008 at the Hotel Horizont in Baska Voda, Croatia. We have chosen this Hotel because of his location on the Riviera Makarska and the quality of equipment and comfort promised by the catalogue! This was our second visit to Croatia and based on our previous experience we were looking forward to see how the real word looked like. Well, our expectations were surpassed by far! The hotel is extremely well kept, the rooms are in good condition, the wellness part is super equipped, and the pool area is very clean and well organized. The food was more than acceptable, the main course being served; you got the choice between 5 different dishes every evening. Side dishes and desserts are available in buffet form.
Baska Voda is a beautiful holiday resort with a small port, restaurants, cafés and pleasant terraces. Split and Trogir are at one hour drive. It is worth paying a small supplement for a “superior” room, which are at the quiet side of the Hotel. During the same week as we were there was a seminar of a Russian oil company with 200 participants. We didn’t feel any inconvenience because of that, but some other people did as they liked to chat on the balcony or in the rooms.
