5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2013

i spent 3 nights in this hotel during the week and it was splendid. The spa is very very good.If you need a good spa hotel in Velingrad you should go there.Just chose MAXI!
The breakfast wasnt something memorable.we didnt have lunch and dinner there, so I dont know anything about the food in the restaurant, but the rooms are spacious, spa center is very clean and big.The water is perfect.

Room Tip: Go there during the week, hotel is crowed it during the weekends

This hôtel is large and quite confortable for eastern europe standards. Accommodations are not bad and rooms are quite big. Spa lacks refinement and not all is clear for foreigners that don't speak the language. Breakfast is nice and quite complete for all tastes and cultures. Global Interior and exterior design leades us half way between good taste and kitsch enviroment... Probably I'm too much acostumed to western and oriental standards... The views are calming and restful but the buried bunker near the parking lot of the hôtel gives me the creeps ( reminding me of the cold war period)...

My shower drain had a problem... It did not drain at all and thank God they had a security drain on the floor... Otherwise...

I've passed here a few confortable days but the hotel did not meet my standards...

The hotel has two positive things and those are the location and the SPA. Anything else is definitely not worth the money you pay. This hotel claims to be a 5 start hotel, but the reality is totally different. The hotel rooms are nothing special. A "king" sized bed meets you in the room, but during the night you realize that your legs are outside of the bed. It's just shorter than wider and I'm not that tall person (183cm). Anyways, you can live with it. In every 5 starts hotel I've been around the world, this is the first that provided complementary water only on your arrival. If you want more, you need to buy it.
Breakfast - that's more like a 3* hotel breakfast. Yes, there is nice food, but the choices are not many. There are no fruits, no cakes, no coffee/tea service on your table, no omelets, no fruit juices, just some artificial ones, which tasted like ****. Definitely not a 5* service.
After breakfast, you go to the spa.. and realize that you need to go through the reception with your bath robe on as there is no direct connection to the spa. Is this 5*?
In the evening, if you like to have something to drink be prepared to be charged between 3 and 5 times higher than the average prices in this country. And if you decide to play some Magic the Gathering game with your friends in the lobby, you will be kindly informed that the lobby is not for playing cards and ask you to move to the smoking area... Oh yes, that's one of the few places that obviously doesn't respect the local laws and have a place for smoking inside.

I would recommend a different place to spend your vacation if you expect good quality for the money you pay.

Right on the top of a hill, surrounded by a pine trees park, you cannot beat its location. The hotel has a big parking lot, two modern playgrounds for kids, a nice interior, friendly and helpful staff, an average size in-ground swimming pool with a kids section which even over the weekend is not too full. It has wireless internet for free in the rooms which unfortunately is still a rear feature in many hotels in Bulgaria. The food in the restaurant was tasty and even despite the fact that there were a lot of people, the service was quick. The room was big enough with sufficient space for us, a baby cot and a sofa for our older kid to sleep on. The quality of sleep was really very good: it was quiet and the bed was very comfortable to sleep on. Despite the fact that our room was a nonsmoking one and it was facing the parking lot, there was no noise coming from the street. To me, however, this hotel is a nice 4 stars hotel as there were little things that a 5 stars hotel has to have like for example, equipment to prepare yourself complimentary tea and coffee in the room, kids swim floaties at the pool: they are selling them for 20 levas at the pool entrance instead of providing them for free at the pool, nonsmoking restaurant, as the smoke from the smoking section was still going into the nonsmoking one. One tip, if all the pool lounges seem to be taken, ask the lifeguard to show you which ones are free, as people simply dump their towels on them after they are done with swimming and leave the pool.

Room Tip: Ask for a view to the park.

Visited the hotel twice with my family for a summer vacation in 2012 & 2013. Extremely satisfied from my stay.

Luxury hotel, spacious rooms, huge bathroom with two sinks, bathtub and shower cabin. Comfortable bed, big size TV, Free Wi-Fi …

SPA area is excellent. In addition, 7 pools with mineral water, three of them dedicated to children.

Hotel is situated on a hill over the town, in a forest. Very quiet and relaxing place, especially if you are with children.

I’ll definitely return for vacation next year.

This hotel is magical. The spa and relaxing facilities are 5 star. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend/break. The staff are all excellent. The food is great. This is the best Spa hotel in Bulgaria. The mineral pools are very relaxing. The location is stunning on the top of a mountain side. The breakfast was excellent. Definitely planning another trip to this hotel for next year. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools superb. The rooms are top class. We stayed on the 4th floor. The hotel was full but walking around you would not have known it, I just checked online before my break.

Excellent spa, location, service and offers. Very nice mineral pools with many extras. Definitely one of the best spa resorts in Bulgaria in which I have been. Must be experienced than just described.
