Excellent spa, location, service and offers. Very nice mineral pools with many extras. Definitely one of the best spa resorts in Bulgaria in which I have been. Must be experienced than just described.

This is a top notch hotel - best one compared to all other 5 star properties in Velingrad (some of them are overrated). It has a great spa and facilities; big outdoor pool surrounded by forest and mountains. The lobby bar is beautifully furnished and looks very classy. The staff is professional, friendly and accommodating.
The get to the hotel you need to drive up a private road but it is not far away from the center of the town (all restaurants, pubs etc.) - 10 minutes walking distance. There are taxis available 24 hours and the taxi services in Bulgaria are very cheap.
Perfect hotel for a relaxing spa weekend....I highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Choose a room in the main building - the one where the front desk and lobby are located to avoid wal...

I stayed here for 5 nights with my family. The hotel is very nice. It was built a few years ago and it appears to be clean and well kept. We stayed in building B, which is one of the main buildings. Our rooms were on the 4th floor, and had breathtaking views of the town and mountains. The hotel was about 50% full as the summer is apparently the slow time of the year. The staff were very friendly and attentive throughout the stay. The rooms were surprisingly large with a king sized bed (rooms 401B and 405B) and couch and chairs. The couch was a pullout. We had plenty of room for two adults and one child in each room. The bathrooms had a separate shower and tub and were very clean.

The main reason to go to this hotel is the mineral baths and pools. They were outstanding. The outside pool was a little small, but it was clean and the water was warm. The kids had a fantastic time frolicking in the pool for hours. There was plenty of seating and lounge beds available. The inside pool was gigantic, and like the outside pool the water was very clean and warm. There was a small kids pool next to the large main pool. There were also two huge jacuzzis. One was mineral water and the other was salt water. Lastly there were three hot soaking pools near the bar. Each of these were big enough for at least 6 people.

The only detractor for this hotel were the prices for the restaurant and bar. The food was very good Bulgarian fare, but the prices were at least double what you could get in the town below. Forget getting drinks at the main bar. We got two premium vodka drinks there and the price was astonomical!

I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Velingrad.

Huge 3 buildings, maybe even four, only the main one with facilities, if you are in the remote one then it is a long walk. - steps up, steps down, elevators, and if it is full then the facilities are modest in size. Nice pools, perfect mineral water, the spa is the only place actually with good service by intelligent young people. Upstairs, och, the bar is stuffed by lazy provincials who serve you coffee without spoon, dilute your juice and are generally never around even if it's is half empty. Plus a lot of people who smoke. Restaurant the same. Stories like you order whisky and they charge you triple th price because the one you ordered has finished - of course they don't warn you. Small things but similar rudenss can spoil your whole stay if you a not a hardened veteran from afganishtan, and we are not.
Rooms need investment in furniture, we have been four persons with just one chair. Pathetic.
Thus it has potential but it is still place deep in the mountains.

Maxi Park Hotel and Spa is probably one of the newest in Velingrad. It is situated on the top of one of the town hills, surrounded by a beautiful pine grove. Right from the hotel starts an eco-path which leads into the pine park offering beautiful panoramic views and freshness. The hotel rooms are light, spacious furnished with large king-size beds, convertible sofa, LCD, terrace overlooking either the parking or the outdoor swimming pool. The bathrooms are equipped with a bath tub, a shower cabin and two wash- basins. The bed is very very comfortable.
The breakfast was plentiful, it was buffet type and was served in the restaurant. If you want to have a lunch or dinner you can do this in the tavern. The service in the tavern was good, and the food was tasty.
The Spa Center offers a wide variety of treats, I won't go in details. The most important for me was that the indoor pool with thermal water was large enough for swimming, capable to offer enough space for the hotel guest without getting crowded. The outdoor pool with thermal water is shallow, so it can be used mainly for refreshment after taking a sunbath along the pool. And trust me the subathing area is pretty good. There is a kid's corner near the outdoor pool and a kid's playground infront of the hotel.
Shortly, if you are looking for a relaxing place with a variety of thermal wather treats you can choose Maxi. What I didn't like was the decoration style in the lobby and the extremly slow elevator, but they were not enough to spoil my impressions.
