I am one the local doctors at this community and decided to go for lunch with my mother and our two very well behaved (princess-like) puppies. When we arrived at the hotel we decided to go to the far side of the pool, away from the restaurant to sit at the beach chairs and enjoy our lunch there. One of my puppies climbed on the beach chair a couple of seconds and then went off, that was when the owner came yelling (in the most unpleasant manner possible) from 100 yards away that people sit on those chairs and we were not allowed to have the dogs sitting there. My mother did not find that to be such a problem so she said "Ok". Even when my mother agreed with her she continued yelling, it took my mom five attempts of saying "yes, we understand, that is ok..." until I came to tell her that the yelling was completely out of order, that we understood what she was saying, that we had already agreed with her and that our spanish was perfect, no need to keep on yelling.
After that incident, we clearly decided to have lunch in a different restaurant where our puppies wouldn't be such an issue.
When I came home I immediately reached for the computer and googled hotel reviews. I must say I initially just thought she was a very rude lady, now, after reading the nightmare reviews from other people it is clear... this woman needs professional help.
Better go to a more modest location like Hotel La Isla, where the staff and the food are way better :)
