My husband and I stayed at Clandestino for 2 nights to start off our 11 day trip. We arrived in the afternoon after renting a car in San Jose and driving 2.5 hours. We were greeted by very friendly staff members and offered a welcome drink before checking in. The owner is a lovely woman who is relaxed and made our stay very comfortable.
Our room overlooked the pool and ocean. The hanging chairs on the porch are a very nice touch, especially when there's a little rain. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom is gorgeous! The sunsets were a beautiful purple like I'd never seen before, and the salt water pool was warm and inviting even in the rain. The waterfall at the pool is like having a massage!
Dinner was delicious, although the price is like going out to a decent restaurant in Toronto, if you factor in the included breakfast, it balances out. It also depends on how much wine you order ;)
While we were there we visited Los Campesinos Reserve, which I would highly recommend!
Thank you to all the staff at Clandestino for making our stay a relaxing, memorable experience!
