“Service?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

I am a repeat customer at the Novotel at BKK, as the rooms are comfortable, the restaurants superb and proximity to the airport convenient.

On this occasion, I found the service had deteriorated somewhat however. What used to be done by the Reception Desk is now spit between Business Center, Room Service and Reception, requiring individual payments to be made. Not sure, why they made it this complicated. The services delivered were fine, just the process was questionable.

We styed in this hotel for just be night before we fly back home. We used the shuttle service from the airport. For the shuttle service once you're arrived just walk out to gate 4 on 2nd floor. Their will be the driver waiting for you. We only have to waited 5 mins for another couple then we off to the hotel.
The check in was easy and smooth. The room were adequate size for double bed and an extra bed. The bathroom was good size with shower and baht tub.
The bed and pillows were so comfortable.
We had dinner on one of the restaurant. We payed 890baht per person for buffet. The food was good with lots of varieties to choose from both western and Asian as well as deserts.
The service back to the airport was very good as they run the shuttle every 10 mins for 24 hours.

Purely by accident as I was booking through agoda I found the secret bargain that is the executive room with perks. These perks include check in at the business lounge so no queues, free wi fi, complimentary afternoon tea, pre dinner canapes and breakfast. The pre dinner canapes last for 2 hours and you can have unlimited drinks serviced to your table by friendly staff. Usually these rooms are about £20 extra but I feel are well worth the extra money. My husband and I frequently spend the night here at the end of our asian exploring.
The rooms are very chain hotel but high end.
If you are not in the executive room the all you can eat buffet has almost every cuisine you can imagine and has an unlimited wine option as well.
I highly recommend this as the perfect transit hotel for one night.

Room Tip: executive rooms and make use of all the perks!

Was a very impressive lobby for an airport hotel. Transfer from airport worked well. Rooms were good, although perhaps needed a bit of upgrading. Wifi was terrible - had to give up trying to do anything - not good for a hotel which presumably has a lot of business traffic. Breakfast was pretty disappointing (not great selection and poorly presented - juices did not seem to be freshly squeeze etc, so best to avoid unless included in your package).

Great room for the day. Shame our room bin had not been emptied from previous occupants ...only contained empty water bottle and papers but still yucky . Small over sight on an otherwise fantastic place to break up the long haul journey between Helsinki to Sydney.

This hotel is on the grounds of the airport a few blocks from the terminal. You can either take the hotel's shuttle van, which takes about 10 minutes, or you can walk via underground tunnel which takes about 10 minutes. You have to go down to level B, find the passage to the train, and keep going past the train station entrances.

It's got a 24 hour restaurant, but at the times when they switch the buffets from breakfast to lunch an lunch to dinner, the service a la carte will be slow.

You can check in at any time. They measure your stay on a 24 hour clock. Check out before 24 hours is up and you pay only for one day.

If you have stayed at 4 star business hotels in the US, this place is the equivalent in terms of comfort.

I stayed here at the start of my trip and again at the end of my trip, and in the middle I passed through Bangkok airport again and dropped off a suitcase at the hotel for storage. This hotel made it very convenient to use Bangkok as a hub for other travel in Asia.

Excellent choice if you have an early / late flight. A tunnel links the hotel to the airport so you can walk there in just a few minutes. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed, we slept well. Restaurant was so/so ... but I suppose they feel little incentive to charm such transient visitors.
