“Great beach, clean water”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013 via mobile

Took a tuk tuk to this beach which was clean with cafe & beer. Mix of locals and tourists, good for families, see a bit rough but ok for a shallow swim. Grab a sunbelt and chill

“Excellent quiet beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

Best to go there by Tuk Tuk but it's well worth a visit. The beach is small and secluded and there is a small beach restaurant which does good food and drinks. It's worth taking a walk along the path leading from the left of the beach along the seafront to the headland. You get a very good view across to Fort Galle and of local fishing boats coming back to the harbour.

“Don't bother”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013

Poor visibility for snorkelling, and you will risk having your belongings stolen by thuggish youths hanging around in the bushes. Also note that there is little shade in the afternoon so bring adequate sunscreen.

“Great snorkelling”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

You can rent masks and snorkels on this seculded beach for great snorkeling on the left hand side. water is clean and lots of fish. You can walk up the hill to the Japanese dogoba after, good stop for sunbathing and reading. You can get there by tuk tuk or by boat from Unawatuna
