We called in here on our way to Murchison Falls almost by accident. Our driver thought it would be a good place for lunch.
This place is a knock out. It is a genuine Colonial era hotel in the single story sprawling style. It has been impeccably renovated.
We enjoyed a light lunch but the stroll around was superb. Waht a wonderful establishemnt! It has a fascinating history and the presentation is superb.
The rooms look terrific - the connection with the African Queen is easily imagined - Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn stayed here during its filming. So did Ernest Hemingway.
I won't bang on other than to post some pics.
