“A dream of a Thames side hotel close to Heathrow airport”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2011

Lovely location on the river Thames and ideal for visiting Windsor, Hampton Court, Richmond and Kingston for shopping. Also very close to London Heathrow Airport but away from the noise.
The breakfast and dinner are very good but for the dinner choose to pay as you go its probably cheaper than the fixed charge.
Access to hotel is only by car, which is not a problem if you rent from the airport.

Room Tip: All rooms are good, there is a lift, but a Thames view room is more relaxing

Good hotel with location to match. Close to M25 & M3. Hotel is being refurbished and rooms have already been done. Modern business feel about them. Chair at workdesk is way to low to work at comfortably. Not Good.
Wi-fi is free but a new code has to be requested every 24 hours. A little niggling
Car park is 1 floor multi story and free.
Housekeeping can be slow.
I left the room at 7am returned at 5pm and the room had still to be made up.:(

My partner and I stayed on Tuesday 25th October after going to Thorpe park for the day. We had a lovely welcome and our room was lovely and clean with a great view.

We were looking forward to breakfast after seeing the great choice but sadly it wasn't replenished and the eggs came out just as we were leaving.

I would stay here again

Stayed at the bridge hotel on Friday 28th as we went to Thorpe park for fright night and it's 5 mins away. The room was very nice.. A few little things for which I rated cleanliness a 3 but overall it was good for what we wanted it for. I'd rate it 3 1/2 *

On arrival we were told we had been upgraded to a room with a view of the water ( no explanation given why but we were happy to accept). When we got to the room however the bed had not been made and the room had not been vaccumed. Because it was gone 5.00pm when we arrived so there were no housekeeping staff available they sent the BAR MANAGER !! to make the bed.He clearly hadnt made many beds before so i ended up helping him which i found quite amusing and although it makes this review sound a bit bad it wasnt a major problem as far as i was concerned and he organised a complimentry bottle of wine for us.The room was nicely decorated and the bathroom was clean and modern and we had a nice view of the river. Breakfast was very nice although a bit expensive but the quality of the food was good. All in all a nice comfortable hotel but they need to sort housekeeping issues out.

Room Tip: A room with a view of the river is very nice

Stayed at this hotel at the end of September for a trip to Thorpe park. First impressions of the hotel were very good room was nicely decorated with a flatscreen tv on the wall good sized room and bathroom had complimentary toiletries. Very picturesque location on the bridge with a nice pub literally a five min walk, if that over the bridge. However there were a few negative points. The room we had was at the end right by the road and was extremely noisy all night and it was a sunday night. It sounded like road works every half an hour throughout the night for ten mins at a time sounded like machinery starting up. What made it worse is that the room was sooooo hot that we had to have the windows open and they were tiny so it made little difference to the heat in the room. Also the cushions on the bed had suspicious marks on them so they had not been checked properly to make sure they were clean. Also one of the towels hanging in the bathroom had a black mark on it even though we hadnt used it. We also decided to have breakfast at the hotel which for £8.50 was an absolute rip off, it was served between 7am and 10 am. We went down to breakfast at 9.20 am where there was little bread left for toast, only three sausages no mushrooms barely any beans which even if there had been i wouldnt have wanted to eat them as they had dried up so have no idea how long they had been out for. For £8.50 each i expected a lot better quality of breakfast as the re were cafes in nearby chertsey town that were cheaper and would have been cooked fresh. I did speak to the lady on the desk and told her about how hot the rooms were and she offered me the use of a fan which I was extremely grateful for and the second night i had a much better sleep, she also said that if i had asked earlier then they could have moved me to another room but the fan did really make a big difference. Overall even though there are a few negatives I would stay here again as it was ideal for Thorpe Park which was the basis for our trip. On our second night we drove into Shepperton church square i think it was called where its like a country village with a few pubs and a wonderful bistro called Edwinns which I would recommend for the three course set meal for twenty pounds pp and was fantastic.

Stayed midweek for business. Arrived early at 13:30 - told my room not ready until 14:00 without asking my name - asked again at 14:00, told I had to wait while she finished her shift for 10 minutes. 20 mi urea later was in room. Hotel being renovated - new rooms are well appointed, I was in disabled room with suitable bathroom (am not disabled but can imagine it would be fine) 'restaurant' was more bar food at best. Nice and clean hotel, not bad value, would recommend eating out in nearby town, staff require training. Overall not bad for business.
