“Quiet!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2013

We booked this hotel through Saga because it looked as if it was a quiet hotel and it was! There was an opportunity to walk along coastal paths, disused railway lines to nearby villages or catch local buses. The hotel itself was clean and the food was adequate, as somebody else has also said, we missed the omelette chef in the mornings, although a couple of evenings there was an opportunity to choose some meat or fish from 'la plancha'. Our bedroom, at the back of the hotel, looked out onto the car park and being on the first floor there was a little noise from the kitchen below. One minor complaint about the bedrooms, there was very little drawer space - a total of 3 in the wardrobe; certainly not enough for 2 people, although they did provide more coat hangers when asked. The only other complaint was that there was very little seating area around the bar area, especially when the Spanish arrived at the weekend. The staff were very friendly throughout. The beach was clean and only a few yards away from the hotel. All in all we had an enjoyable, relaxing stay.

Room Tip: If you are willing to pay the extra, choose a room with a sea view.

For 65€ a night you really can't fault this hotel - which has all amenities and helpful staff, is one minutes walk from the beach, and has sea view rooms with a stunning view over the bay. Buffet breakfast is more than ample with a good choice, my only criticism is that the hot section is not quite up there with the best, but at this price it would be unreasonable to complain. Rooms are basic and bathroom quite small but it is clean and comfortable.Bar with snacks and coffee are excellent and again prices are very reasonable. Parking at the rear costs 8€ a day - worth paying rather than risking your car out on the street. Lunch and dinner are also buffet style, we preferred to eat out at the seafront restaurants which served good food at reasonable prices.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are worth the extra as the view is amazing.

Very good hotel (at the perfect location) while became a little pricy for services it providing. This is 3d time we spent 2 summer weeks in this hotel during last 6 years. This speaks for itself! We like location and hotel very much.
But this time there were 2 disappointments.
1st: Room service is done by a one person for whole floor. So it happened that a cleaning lady came to us after 3 pm at siesta time. i don't remember such an issue at 2 prev. times. it could be ok not to clean the room every day .. but ants in the room.. they ask for cleaning :)
2nd: WiFi is very poor - keeps disconnected (in the bar area. in the rooms there is no WiFi by definition). Until i found good spot - just next to computers - i was not able to use Skype - and nowadays we all want to be connected - isn't it?
Otherwise - the staff is great and very helpful! Food is good. We'll definitely come again - but please-please fix 2 issues above.
Thanks a lot.

Room Tip: sea view; corner ones with partial sea-view is even better if you sleep well with some noise (it wil...

Great Saga all inclusive week fab food and great staff what more could you ask for . We had a room with a view of the pool and sea and were not disappointed side views are O.K.but would not the rear of the hotel as the car-park and trees is not my idea of a view. On the subject of the car -park we hires a car for a few days and they tried to charge us 8e a day for parking but thanks to the SAGA rep this was reluctantly changed to 5e. We would have put the car outside but all the parking is by permit we understood. Another small annoyance was the noise of the building near by being sandblasted but the hotel is not to blame for that, but I hope it will not go on for too long and spoil what is supposed to be a quiet restfully holiday. Another small annoyance was on the last morning we had to leave at 8 a.m. and we approached the dining room and told to leave by the one of the reception staff for being 8 minuets early at first we thought she was joking but the stoney look on her face told us no. I know the staff were having breakfast but the buffet was open and we only wanted a cup of tea and toast that we made ourselves and as we were on tight schedule with a senior citizen with us this was very upsetting. All the other staff were so very helpful and I wish we had taken the receptionists name with the glasses and heart of stone. All in all we had a great week and the future for us is SAGA holidays all inclusive its the future...

Room Tip: Choose front or side view but not rear ...

Used by SAGA so high standards ! Rooms & facilities very good ( 'cept for Wifi - only good in the bar - which can't be bad !). Good selection of food albeit Spanish orientated but salads great & plentiful. No egg- chef for breakfast so no omelettes. Without doubt, the highlight of our stay, was the staff! Efficient; eager-to-please and forever at your service although they could have done with more when busy. The location of the hotel at the end of the most scenic & tranquil bay with its soft sandy beach is both pleasing & restful - a lovely leisurely walk to the shop for your English newspaper ! The Spanish for beer is 'cerveza' ! See you there in the Autumn ?

Room Tip: Sea-view rooms lose the sun to the rooms at the rear at around 2pm - so book two or go for a side...

we were a little cautious about our holiday at this hotel as we had read some adverse comments but we need not have worried as it was a great place for a quieter holiday and just what we needed. From the moment we arrived the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. I was even presented with a lovely red rose when we arrived. The room was bright and the beds very comfortable ,they were cleaned every morning by pleasant staff and toiletries replaced if used. The view from our window was wonderful, right across the bay and the little road at the front was never noisy.I cannot praise the staff enough especially the restaurant and bar staff always there with a friendly smile especially Loli Hector and Fousto !!! from the hotel you can walk along the board walk and round the headland on a lovely paved pathway passing lovely villas and wonderful rocky coastline views. Although we did not use the hotel pool as we stayed before the weather was really warm enough, it looked clean and inviting. There was a walk in the other direction but other guests who had been there said it was a bit daunting unless you were fit and agile. We stayed as saga guests and our rep Chris was wonderful and very helpful. We enjoyed our trips out especially nearby Girona and the ancient village Pals. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful holiday in beautiful surroundings with wonderful service.

Room Tip: the pool view rooms have sun in the morning whereas the back of the hotel overlooks trees but has th...

Passing through after a business trip, we stayed several nights for a break and thoroughly enjoyed both the hotel and area, although this is a quieter resort and guests should not expect a lively night life. The bay is charming and there some excellent walks around the surrounding coves. The are some pleasant bars and restaurants on the sea front promenade, the best of which is Le Palmera, where we ate every lunchtime
The Confortel Caleta Park is good value. I didn't experience some of the negative issues some other reviewers reported and, although it was end of season, found the staff to be quite helpful and friendly. The bar was not always attended but a barman could always be easily found and was happy to offer table service on the terrace. Sea view rooms offer a delightful place to read and unwind in the evening. There is ample parking to the rear of the hotel.

Room Tip: The sea view rooms overlook a sea front road so there is a little traffic noise but this is a very q...
