I will definitely be staying here again. My colleagues said so too. Booked at 24 hours notice for a 3-night trip on business - price was good and all expectations bar one exceeded - bedroom was excellent - I had a top floor superior double with rooftop views, a terrace, lots of living space and a fantastic bed, so comfortable - bathroom really well appointed - staff were without exception friendly and helpful, tolerating our nearly non-existent Spanish, even letting us host a business breakfast with non-residents without notice and without any fuss whatsoever - breakfast food was good - sensational tortilla and lovely pastries - location is quiet but only 2 minute walk from the heart of the old town and 5 minutes from the best views over the quayside and port - one minor disappointment was that I could not get the free wi-fi in my rom on the top floor - the staff instantly offered me an ethernet cable (not useable with my Macbook unfortunately) but the 3G reception throughout the island is so good (better than the reception at my London home!) I used my phone instead

Room Tip: Room 301 has good rooftop views and plenty of living room space - worth the extra 20 Euros

Small family-run hotel within easy walking distance of the historic centre, shopping and harbour-front restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff, working on their English (we found that not much English is spoken by anyone over the age of 30 in Menorca); looking at other reviews, I guess that the hotel changed to local Menorcan ownership a year or two ago, and is now working harder to look after guests. The rooms were a real surprise: much larger than expected, with all mod-cons, good size bathrooms and a large, comfortable bed (I saw about 5 rooms, and all were of this standard). Breakfast (fruit, cereal, cold meats and cheeses, sweet pastries etc) was excellent. Free Internet worked well. Decor is proud, modern Spanish! As with anywhere in the centre of a Menorcan town, the streets are narrow and one-way, so if hiring a car enquire about where to park. We had no complaints at all, and loved this hotal and Mahon.

Although Mao was closing down as I arrived, due to it being very much end of season, I had a great stay here. Loads of room, good range of toiletries, good quality furnishings and very clean. Breakfast- wide range, especially of cakes, and these varied daily. Would recommend it wholeheartedly.

What an amazing little hotel that deserves more than its 3 stars! The staff are amazing, the rooms large by all Spanish standards that I am aware of, the bathroom amazing (with a whirlpool tub), the breakfast incredible and far more than I expected, and the location peaceful and quiet. I should mention that, because the hotel is a couple of blocks away from Placa Reial, it can seem removed and even disconcerting but don't be afraid. This is well worth your visit!

Very well situated in the heart of the old town all sights just a short walk as was the bus station for services all over the island. Very stylish contemporary decor with good attention to detail, good sized rooms and well equiped bathroom. All air conditioned but a/c hard to get quite right as could be too cold but if off room could be too warm but cracked it after a couple of nights. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice and day to day variety including many home made specialities, tea and coffee made to order and very good. One could eat inside or on the internal courtyard open to the sky. Free WIFI worked well. A high light was the staff (who were Equadorian) charming and very helpful though spoke very little english, forunately I speak basic spanish so we got along fine. The young lady is studying english. All in all an excellent place to stay and Mahon is surprisingly delightful city.

I stayed there for four nights with my boyfriend. The room was large ( the bathroom, too) with a view at an interior garden where we had our breakfasts. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast was nice. Fresh bread, croissants, marmalades, honey, yogurt, milk, juices, coffee, sweets, fruits, eggs, cheese and ham were included. The staff was really welcoming and helpful. However, those who don't speak Spanish may find it difficult to communicate. Some members of the staff speak English but not fluently. Anyway, they all will be really willing to draw the directions on the map! The hotel is located in a nice and quiet neighborhood, three minutes from the center of Mahon. The port is approximately five minutes ( may be less) from San Miguel. We will definitely return!
