Just got back from a fortnight at the Ros in santa Eulalia. I have previously stayed here, albeit 10 years ago. The apartments are big and spacious, and are exceptionally clean.
We were on the second floor with a great sea view, although the one bedroomed apartments are on the ground floor without the view, so be aware if there are only 2 going.
I did read reviews about the noise in the apartments before I went, and I have to say I agree with them, however nice the apartments are, the walls are like paper, you could hear almost everything through them. and the noise of furniture scraping across the floor in the evenings when your trying to get to sleep is awful. However we didnt spend much time in the apartments, just to sleep so i dont think this would be a problem if you stayed out later, we were usually back by 11pm. But if youve got young kids in bed it might cause a problem.
The games room wasnt great, pool tables are ok but not much else, the TV was always on, but in spanish! The Bar was always quiet, but maybe a little expensive compared to other cafes etc. But we always had a nightcap before going up to our room.
The pool area was clean and not too noisy, we always got a lounger whatever the time, although we did spy some people going down at 7am to put towells on loungers!!!!
We preferred the beach, with the nice cool breeze and bought some snorkels, youd be suprised at the fish in the shallows. There are some excellent restaurants, bollywood cafe, daffers and Mels bar (for a nice english breakfast), but our favourite was the chinese buffet on the front.
The evenings were a bit of a let down, after going out to dinner we struggled to find any entertainment, apart from Mariners, which had some good acts on especially the ABBA show, but it is repeated on a weekly schedule so the second week we didnt want exactly the same acts.
We went the last week of Aug, and first week sept, and you really noticed a difference in the other holidaymakers, Our first week there were lots of young families and kids on the beach, but the second week lots of middle aged and older couples. So if you have kids, id go in the school holidays, lots of other kids to play with! and if you dont go term time, nice and quiet and relaxing!
I would recommend a boat trip to one of the next resorts, It cost me 20 euros in a taxi to ibiza town, and only 7 euros on the boat, the secenery on the boat journey was amazing.
We found things to be quite expensive, some items dearer than the uk, so it wasnt cheap. soft drinks especially. Also gifts, purses etc were very expensive, and not all that nice.
Overall I had a nice holiday, The apartments are nice, and I would return, but maybe some earplugs next time : ) The resort is beautiful but quiet, and if you want lots of entertainment then it isnt for you. But for good beaches, restaurants and hot weather and a nice family holiday then this is the place for you.
