“Superb hotel, lived up to its 5 star rating and good value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2009

We were really pleased that this hotel lived up to its 5 star rating. The rooms are extremely modern and very comfortable with great views towards the sea and pool area. The hotel has a wide range of restaurants and a lovely pool area, with lovely comfy / relaxing seating areas. We were staying on Bed and Breakfast basis and the breakfast choice was fantastic, the staff friendly and good service. The location is on the edge of Santa Eulalia resort and it only took 15 minutes to walk to the centre of the resort. A good choice for couples looking for a romantic luxury break.

Overated, expensive and basically aload of poopicock!
My friend took me here for a one off grat holiday and clearly he did not get value for money.
The beds were sooo... bad, like ironing boards that I hardly slept all week, which inturn made me angry, grumpy and totally cheesed off. One lady I spoke to around the pool has complained and asked for four extra duvets to help her sleep!
Food and drink at rip off prices.
No extra bath freebies all week, gutted!!
Hard towels that creaked like chalk on a black board!
Dead quiet to the point of boredom.
No music round pool except for some annoying repetative chime and bells tracks.
No one to talk to.
Some stafff could not even speak much english.
Oh and not to mention the huge BOOGEY on my steak baguette top! OMG it was awful. The waitress looked mortified and stunned when I handed it to her. What was even worse they expected me to eat the rest. No one returned to apologise or replace my lunch. My mate and i stayed well clear after that and ate out everyday. May I add the other resaturants chosen wisely are better and cheaper and have atmosphere.
Clearly this is not aplace i would visit again. I would rather have joined the noisey english crowd in th appartments down the road. probably would have had more fun and a comfy bed!

We stayed for chance in this hotel for one night but it was wonderful. The room was big and nice and the bathroom with shower and bathtub was huge! Everything was clean and perfect. From the terrace we could see the swimming-pool and get some relax.
The hotel looked splendid! One of the most remarkable things was the breakfast buffet!!! One of the best I’ve been to!
It was a pity not staying more to enjoy the rest of services.
I would recommend this hotel although it’s not located in the Ibiza town, but it’s not far away by car, maybe 20 minutes, which is enough good!

Had to right a quick note to let you know how impressed we were with this hotel.
It was Clean and the attention to detail was spot on! the staff helpful and friendly.
the pool area was lovely and the food good. can highly reccommnend this hotel!
the spa area was sparse and my massage experience would have been improved if my masseuse had communicated with me even just a little to see what i like ( the Spa is run separately from the hotel even though it is attatched) only draw back was the distance from the Port - a good 15min walk.
Will defo be going back!

The hotel is rated as five stars, but its service and level of attention towards guest do barely meet the standards of a two star hotel. The prices are nevertheless on the high end and the management is apparently following a ripping-off policy of guests. No complimentary water, no free internet (cards are valid for 24 hours and cost 21 EUR! I had to order three of them since the system was not working properly), waiters at breakfast are just a nightmare. One member of our family was 80 years old and asked for water during breakfast and the waitress told her to go to the buffet and serve herself....I cannot accept such an attitude in any hotel towards an elder person, but it is totally unacceptable in a 5 star hotel which charges 420 EUR a night. The positive aspects of the hotel: wonderful bed and nice bathroom For the rest, no taste in common areas, crowded swimming pool, nice spa, but not free for guests (it comes again with an additional cost). Not recommended at present. We have nevertheless make a formal complaint and talk to the management who confirmed that other guests are complaining on the same issues, so hopefully they will make some additional efforts to improve the current situation.

We have just returned from a "girlfriend getaway" staying for 7 nights in the Fenicia. Whilst their was some minor service issues- these were confidently and professionally handled by the hotel's new director, an obvious asset to the group. The hotel is very well appointed and situated close enough for nice strolls into Sta. Eulalia. Overall the hotel represents reasonable value, although you do need to account for the price of convenience in havingdrinks/snacks by the pool as the pound is still relatively weak against the euro. Spa is ok, pricey and a bit transactional but well kitted out. Food quality is excellent and pool area immaculate.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2008

Spent four nights here in October. Arrived at hotel and was immediately impressed. Since I was out of main season it did seem a bit quiet, and in fact it turned out we were probably 2 of 10 guests there at the time.

Reception promptly checked us in and off we went to our room. I had booked a junior suite prestige, which included a rooftop hot tub.

Room had King-size bed, 37 inch LCD TV in a small lounge area, mini-bar, etc etc, leading onto a small balcony, which in our case overlooked the very impressive pool area. Bathroom had single shower, his & hers sinks, and a Jacuzzi corner bath. A staircase from the room led up to the private rooftop Jacuzzi. To the side of this was a double sun lounger (a double leather mattress thing) and an outdoor open shower. Again the view was directly over the pool area and to the Sea.

With regard to our room this was generally very very good, but does come at a price!

Public area’s of the hotel were also very good, stylish and well maintained. Large reception lounge area, with a small bar and library / reading lounge. Out of reception towards pool area there a large sun lounge terrace and down steps to the pool some fantastic wicker “pods”, very comfy and easy to fall asleep in. Pool was in two parts, one of which was supposed to be heated but wasn’t, I’d guess due to end of season, pool bar was also closed, but this wasn’t an issue as staff brought us drinks from main hotel bar. By the side of the pool were two restaurants, one Mediterranean and the other a sushi. Didn’t try either whilst we were there but menus looked good.

We were staying on B&B basis and breakfast was the best I’ve ever had. There was the largest selection of good quality food you could need to start the day. All the usual in a good hotel, cold meat, cheeses, hot buffet, show cooking, pastries, real bacon(i.e. meat), yoghurts, cereals, caviar (if you like it) and champagne to wash it all down (It would be rude not to).

The hotel also had a spa/wellness area. We did ask to take a look around but were just shown some images on a PC. The treatment/use of the spa was needless to say pricey, even though it did look enticing.

From the gardens a path led to a security gate (opened with your room card), which took you onto the “river” (Santa Eularia del Rio), over a bridge and a 15 minute stroll into the resort area. Again it was very quiet at this time of year. Beech looked very clean, and there were plenty of bars and restaurants, however I personally wasn’t very impressed by them. There were a few on the far side of the marina which we ate at that were good. There is also a street “Calla San Vincent”, known as Restaurant street, which had a good selection, but we only ate at one which was very popular with Brit’s, can’t remember the name, it was Ok, cheap and cheerful, and we went there because there were few people at the others that were open.

Overall, Hotel, probably one of the best I’ve stayed in for accommodation and food, staff were polite and helpful.
The resort of Santa Eularia was Ok, however, I’m not sure what it would be like in peak season.
