“We’ll be back soon!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2010

My mother lives on Ibiza and she recommended this hotel to us. Last year we spent 5 days there in the middle of August with our 22 year-old daughter and thoroughly enjoyed it. At the end of August we are going to return with daughter (at her request), son-in-law and grandson (then aged 5 month) and feel very relaxed about it.

The Perfect Family Hotel. International guests. Entertainment, if you like, but always the option to get away, if you want to. Extremely friendly staff that speaks Spanish, English, and German (we are German, by-the-by)., good food, and the chance to have a dance with your partner at least one or two nights, if you feel like it, thanks to the entertaining program (it is not always overwhelming, but good).

I should not be telling you this, but the Playa Niu Blau a couple of minutes away is simply the beach you DREAM of: crystal blue water, pines, shade, sand, bars,

we have just returned from 10 day stay at this very clean & pleasantly located hotel. Hotel staff very polite & helpful & the availabiltiy of a late check out from our room made our last day very relaxed & enjoyable. Pool excellent for swimming & only a few tiny well behaved babies around so no splashing, unruly children to spoil the relaxing atmosphere. Location might not suit all but we enjoy the stroll into the centre of town and the walk around the harbour. Food was tastefully presented and varied, all the meat was very tender with the goulash & roast lamb coming out as favourites. Only slight criticism was the lack of fillings for omlettes, but to be fair this did improve later in the week. Not much nightlife/entertainment but that suits us and Mangos bar next door is very nice, you can sip G&T whilst looking out over the sea & service is excellent. We had a room overlooking nearby apartments with v. limited sea view (hang out over the balcony & catch a glimpse) which might not have pleased some people, but it was nice to watch the world go by & the antics of a rather large dog on a balcony. A good holiday & nice hotel would visit again. Kay& Mick Durham

This hotel is extremely well run with a first class staff and 4 star.
The rooms are very modern and well furnished with plenty of space for clothes etc.
The staff in both the reception area and in the dining rooms well extremely friendly and could not do enough for you.. Nothing wasa problem for them.
Room service with the maids was first class .
The pool area was well maintained and there were plenty of sun beds and brollies availabler at all times.
The location was ideal for both my wife and i and was only a casual 20 minute walk into the town centre which is very beautiful with a terrific beach and marina.
Plenty of eateries and bars and the prices were very reasonable and there is no doubt this part of the island is upmarket as it was lager lout free.
Would i go back to this hotel ? " ABSOLUTELY YES "

Just back from a week at this hotel and could have easily stayed for two. The staff were all very pleasant from beginning to end, the rooms very well furnished, above the usual standard and with loads of storage space. We were on the ground floor looking onto the pool and more than happy with it although originally fancied a sea view - which would have been even better. Not many children about which suited us as a couple, but perhaps there would be more in the midsummer. A mixture of nationalities in the hotel was fine. The food in the large dining room was very, very good even if perhaps biased a little towards the continental tastes. Mangoes beach bar next door is a treat if you don't fancy the 15 minute walk into the town after dinner. Would go back again anytime.

Stayed here for 1 week w/c 28th May, school half-term week. Weather hot and sunny. Located on northern edge of Santa Eulalia, yet within easy walk of marina and shops, and central beach. The best beach however is in the opposite direction, Playa Niu Blau, a ten minute maximum walk along the coast path. Just a couple of cafes, really unspoilt. You can carry on walking the coast path to further bays, passing clifftop villas along the way. Hotel exceptionally clean, food plentiful and varied, always something you would like. Not all rooms have good sea views but can be difficult to swap if you are there in a busy week. No problem with sunbeds- always available. Mix of age groups- from babies to 70ish. No childens clubs etc or organised activities, so tends to be quiet- not for you if you prefer the 'in your face' style of entertainment. Mangoes bar next door, good for light lunch and evening entertainment if required. Hotel entertainment 3 times per week- not brilliant but ok . If you want to chill out and do your own thing then would highly recommend this hotel. We had a coach pick-up back to the airport at 0.30 am, and as checkout was at 12 noon we kept our baggage in a secure luggage store next to reception, and were given a courtesy room and towels to shower in the evening. The staff were very helpful. We were very pleased with our choice of holiday.

We had a very pleasant stay at this Hotel, and we certainly had a positive experience throughout the duration of our holiday.

We had a room for three and another for one, the latter being a twin for single use. The room for three was very spacious, the other more than adequate. Both were very clean and well presented. Beds were continental twins affording lots of room, and very comfortable. Floors were tiled and there was the usual array of wardrobe and cupboard space. The balcony was large and had three reclining garden chairs with soft cushions and a small circular table. The bathroom was fully tiled, well equipped and perfectly clean. The TV had the usual selection of local and German channels plus Sky News and the Disney Channel, on which the majority of programmes seemed to be in English. Intriguingly, and bizarrely, it also had Channel M, to keep Mancunians happy and feeling at home.

The room overlooked the pool and bay on ground level - 1044 - which was perfectly quiet. The rooms nearer to the bar area may have had some noise intrusion in the evenings. My recommendation if you're looking for a very quiet room would be to take a sea view room looking east, away from the pool area and on the top (second) floor.

The pool area is excellent - clean, spacious and very well presented. The pool itself was very clean and well looked after. There were always loungers available. Reception and the bar/salon were very spacious and again very clean and well presented. Prices were OK for this class of Hotel, and we didn't feel we were being taken advantage of.

The food? Well it's what you might expect from a Hotel like this; buffet hors d'oeuvres and mains with a selection of two or three meats and fish choices and varied pasta, rice and vegetables. Desserts were perfectly fine. Not the best I've had in a 4 star, neither the worst. Breakfasts were again what you would expect but I thought the juices, bacon and sausages were slightly sub standard. Service was OK.

The Hotel's location has both up and downsides. On the positive side it is a 10-15 minute walk to Santa Eularia in one direction, and the same to the Niu Blau beach in the other. The immediate vicinity is unremarkable, however, and lifted only by the presence of the much favoured Mangos. The view across the bay is very pleasant, marred only by the incomparably ugly Hotel Sol Ibiza.

The clientele seemed to be almost exclcusively British and German. The German visitors were notably older than the rest and I think the age profile of the Hotel outside school holidays would be on the mature side, to say the least. The only school age children in the hotel were British and all superbly well behaved. The indoor pool and spa was very attractive and well cared for.

Any real negatives? Well, this is being very picky but if you want character and charm then this might not be for you. It is a chain hotel and very 'corporate'. The staff are very pleasant and mostly efficient but don't expect a personal touch. There is nothing local about the place at all - perhaps that is why Mangos is so popular, as it provides an interesting and welcome contrast to the Hotel? The Hotel might be anywhere in the world, but having said that it is very safe bet and gives very good quality at a reasonable price.

Santa Eularia is a very nice place and has a good mix with the marina and its attendant shops and restaurants, the tourist bay areas and the working town behind. It has the feel of a proper town and was noticeably used by the locals giving it a feel of authenticity. A very good location for a holiday for all ages, although not in the most beautiful part of the island. We took a short drive up to S'Argamassa, a much prettier area but further from the town. It has a beach though, and if this is important then the S'Argamassa Palace looks very nice. The most attractive places we visited were Cala Vadella and Cala Sant Vicent, both well worth the drive.

We used Travel Republic and paid about £800 for 6 nights HB in two rooms. Flights with Monarch were on time and very efficient. No need to pay for extra leg room - we had huge amounts on both flights in the regular seats.

My wife and I have just returned from a very relaxed stay at this hotel in Santa Eulalia. The hotel itself is a solid looking building on the edge of town (a flat, pleasant 20/25 minute walk away past the marina and boatyard). There is a natural cliff top walk in the other direction (starting from Mango's bar) to Es Canan (about one and a half hours away) but past several beaches and beach bars/toilets). The hotel has a large reception area where the internet connection was 3 euros per hour (same price for wi-fi). There is a wellness centre in the basement with a small indoor pool, a jacuzzi and 3 saunas (various heat settings). The gym has 10 pieces of equipment including 2 tread mills. This centre is also where the various massages are carried out. However we noticed that the centre wasn't always supervised.

The hotel has a large and efficient restaurant serving buffet meals (breakfast from 8am til 10.30am and dinner from 6.30pm til 9.00pm). A bottle of reasonable wine was about 10 euros. The food quality was very good with meat and fish every night freshly cooked during the mealtimes. Omelettes/pancakes available also freshly cooked. The salad choice (a meal in itself) was an excelent selection. A choice of 2 soups each evening.

We stayed in Room 2011 which had a great sea view. About 84 rooms have a sea view but we thought that to get the best view you need to stay on the second floor (numbers beginning with a 2 and numbered consecutively - between rooms 2006 and 2035 - although rooms 2017 upwards have a few thin trees in front. You could hear muffled talking from neighbouring guests and echoing voices in the corridors, but never a real problem - and we took ear-plugs anyway. The room TV has 2 English speaking channels: Sky News and CNN. There is A/C and a room safe (lock/key available from reception - 9 euros a week plus a 5 euro deposit). The storage space is good with 12 hangars in the wardrobe. The bathroom is fairly large with a bath and shower over. Bed sheets are changed 2 or 3 times a week. The 2 balcony chairs had comfortable padded seats.

Mango's bar is just across from the hotel side carpark a few yards away. It is open from 10am until 3am but was never noisy. Its customers sit in deckchairs, adjustable seats or plastic chairs and are situated in the open air above a low sea wall with the water just feet away. A reasonable beer here was 3 euros, coffee 1.40, a toasted sandwich 2.50, coffe and cake 3.40 and a curry and rice or chips 11 euros ( a bit expensive). Wi Fi is free here and provided you purchased something you could stay as long as you liked. We spent many a happy hour here.

Car hire: Thomson recommended Europcar (just around the corner) - May offer 3 days 100 euros or 4 days 125 euros. Full comprehensive insurance was an additional 7.50 euros a day. We thought that a 3 day hire was sufficient to see the whole island.

There was a large and well stocked supermarket just a 3 minute walk away.

Finally, the hotel provided a change of pool towel 3 times a week and there were NO sandy beaches outside of the hotel - which didn't bother us. The hotel had a large number of Germans staying - but they were fine.
A good efficient hotel, well worth a stay!
