It was our first visit to Ibiza and the lovely resort of Santa Eulalia. We were checked in very efficiently by a pleasant young man and found our room quite easily. We had a first floor, sea view room which overlooked the marina directly from our balcony and to the right we had a view of the pool area. The rooms have been refurbished quite recently and the décor was light and modern with a king sized bed. Yes there was a firm, memory foam mattress, which was not exactly comfortable, as it took some getting used to. The bathrooms are apparently being refurbished later this year, but ours was quite adequate and could easily have been made better with a little extra bath sealant and repairs to a rusty mirror. Both the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean with towels being changed every day if needed. Yes as mentioned in other reviews, the walls are quite thin and you can hear your neighbours talking etc. quite easily, which doesn't provide you with good sleep quality. There is a fridge in the room which can be hired for 3 euros.20 cents per day and a 10 euro deposit which is refunded at the end of your holiday. There is also a safe in the wardrobe which you have to pay for if you need it.
The dining room is light and air conditioned and nicely set out without being crushed. If anything lets the hotel down it is probably the food, as although we found something to tickle our taste buds each night, there was not really a great deal of choice as it is only a small hotel. What we did have was usually quite hot, but the choice of potatoes and vegetables left a lot to be desired, although the meat selection was quite good. The breakfasts were very good and everything was hot and tasty with a good selection to choose from. The waiting staff were not all that friendly or light hearted and I think a smile here and there would have gone a long way.(there were a couple of exceptions of course!), but the service was very good with plates etc. being cleared away very quickly. The pool area was very nice and we always managed to get a sun bed when we went down mid afternoon. Yes as at all hotels the towels were down in the mornings to reserve the beds, but there were plenty to go round whilst we were there. There is also a patio area away from the pool where there are lots of sun beds for anyone just wanting to sun bathe rather than take a dip in the pool. The pool is only small with an even smaller one for the children, but it wasn't used all that much whilst we were there, but the area is nice and clean and tidy. There was entertainment on two of the nights, which sounded fairly good from the bit that we heard. The entertainment was outside on a patio area that had tables and chairs and even a couple of large sofas. There is a large lounge inside as well and a smaller room for reading etc. The position of the hotel is perfect as it sits at the far end of the resort around the marina and within a few minutes walk of bars and eateries. There is a lovely spotlessly clean promenade that runs from one end of the marina right across the resort. Within ten minutes you can be at two beautiful, clean, sandy beaches and in the middle of the shops and restaurants. There is plenty to see and do and you can take the land train to Escana, but it is a lot cheaper to jump on a local bus, just 1euro.55 cents and it only takes around 15 minutes. There is a market every day in Santa Eulalia, just off the beach front selling all manner of leather goods, beads and bangles etc.and lots of good shops selling clothes, shoes and everything else you could need. The bars are really good and if you find yourself in 'The Square' this is where it all happens and you can sit with a cool drink soaking up the atmosphere and watching the locals and tourists alike, enjoying themselves. Santa Eulalia is a lovely resort and quite up market and I would recommend it to anyone. Es Cana is more child friendly and more like a British seaside resort. All in all we enjoyed our holiday at Tres Torres and would definitely go back again.
Most of the rooms have either pool view or sea view but a few do overlook the car park. Ask for a hi...
