“Lovely little Hotel, perfect for relaxing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

Recently returned from our third return visit to this delightful Hotel. As mentioned in other reviews it is in a little need of updating, but the rooms and bathrooms are always immaculately clean - with crisp white bed linen on pretty white four poster beds, Maribel the maid keeps the place spotless. Kerstin the Manageress is the perfect hostess, extremely helpful and friendly with a great knowledge of places to visit. The pool and sun loungers inside the garden are its greatest asset a peaceful oasis with an honesty bar for the guests. Step outside and you have an endless choice of nice restaurants and bars and the local shops on your doorstep, with a short walk down to the beach. Car not needed, buses run frequently close by and there's Taxis just around the corner in the square. If you're looking for a place to recharge your batteries I'd highly recommend a visit.

It's difficult not to like C'as Catala, its helpful manageress Kerstin and Maribel the maid. It has much to recommend it - quiet yet only a couple of minutes to the centre of Santa Eularia (the nicest of the three main towns of Ibiza) and 5 minute to the beach. But parking nearby is very tricky.
The courtyard, with shaded tables and chairs and a nice pool is its great strength. Its weakness is that it is badly in need of refurbisment - it has become neglected after several years of leasing. But the good news is that the owners will soon return and, hopefully, take a renewed interest in the place.
There is no air-conditioning, rather ceiling fans of varying efficacy.
I feel it is a little over-priced (breakfast is not included in the roomrate of Euro 119) in its current state of shabby-chic.

Room Tip: Ask for a room around the courtyard, not facing the back street. There are two rooms that open dire...

After a 6 days stay at Formentera we went to Santa Eulalia for another week.
We couldn't have a better place to stay. The hotelstaff was really friendly and helpfull.
The rooms are bright and the beds were really comfortable. The bathroom was a bit outdated but clean.
What we really loved about thuis place were the services like the fridges which could be used by the guests and the trust bar. Always an icecold drink avalaible and you just wrote down the drinks you took on a note. It's a perfect hotel for couples who do not like to be at an crowded place. The swimmingpool area was really Nice and relaxed. We didn't took de breakfast which was served in the hotel but went to the bakery which was 100m away.
During out stay we didn't rent a car. A lot of places can be reached by bus and the bus station was nearby the hotel. For our 2014 summer holidays we are already thinking about going back to this place!

A friend and I stayed for a week at the end of summer and this was a great base for us in Ibiza. The town is about 20 minutes from the airport and Ibiza Town, so was easy to get around. There are loads of restaurants and bars to choose from in Santa Eulalia and are all no more than a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel.

The hotel is quaint, and they've made an effort to give it some style though some of the facilities were on the dated side. Our room was on the end nearest the street and thus we did get a bit of traffic noise, but I suspect the other rooms would be quieter. They have a full size fridge for guests to use, which was great to keep some drinks, snacks, and breakfast.

The pool and terrace were the highlight for me. They were quiet and they operate an honesty bar which was brilliant for having a relaxing drink poolside.

My partner and I stayed in Ibiza for 2 nights in Cas Catala. We arrived late evening and hotel was an easy drive from the airport.
Check in was smooth and we were pleasantly surprised to find we had been upgraded to a room with lovely terrace. Decor is clean and simple and hotel is typical ibizan style.
There are a lot of restaurants and bars near the hotel open late. Beware though as there are many tourist traps too.
We had breakfast at a local cafe so can't comment on the breakfast in the hotel.
We met Kersten the manager on our 2nd day and she was extremely helpful and informative.
The only downside to the hotel was parking. It was impossible to find free parking near the hotel so we ended up having to feed the meter every 2 hours. If you plan on exploring all day, then this will not be an issue. However, having to be up early to feed the meter whilst on holiday could get tiresome after a while.
Apart from that, could not fault this little hidden gem which is extremely good value for the area.

Room Tip: Pay a little extra for the upgrade- room with large private terrace.

A pleasant hotel in a family resort.
Could do with a lick of paint and and wipe down of the sign, but generally in good order.

Wasn't as quiet as we'd hoped as a wedding party were staying there occupying all other rooms, but can't be helped. Suspect I would have enjoyed it more if it had been quieter.

Didn't really meet the owners as we like to get out and about when we go abroad.

Room basic but nice, no AC, but did have a fan which was enough in June.

We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel as it looked a bit on the expensive side for what you got.

Short walk to the beach and plenty of places to eat, so it's well placed.

I would rate 3.5/5 overall.

p.s. there are some good restaurants in town if you avoid the seafood steak places with all the tourists - do some exploring!

I first went to the hotel when 10 guests stayed there for my wedding. The owners could not have been more helpful to accommodate us and went out of their way to find us rental cars, restaurants and even helped me to get the bride's car for the wedding!

Rooms are all very different - speak to the owners when you book and you'll get exactly what you want. There are two huge rooms overlooking the pool with their own access down to two very small (but cheap!) rooms in the main house. But there are lots of spaceous common areas, so even my friends in the smallest rooms had space when hanging out in the hotel. Everything is spotlessly clean with a wonderful courtyard pool and honesty bar.

I now stay here every time I go to the island. Fantastic!
