“Great place for tapas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2012

Superb value for money and lovely tapas. Outdoor seating in a lovely square with a mix of locals, British property owners/tourists and families.

Good place for informal dining rather than a full meal and highly recommended is the Gazpacho. Selection of daily specials too- ask the waiter what he recommends and you can't go far wrong.

Tables are typically taken so grab a seat at the bar or next to one of the upturned barrels outside and one will soon become free.

“Nice place for lunch and a cervesa.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2012

Varied menu of tapas and larger raciones, together with some daily specials. Mixture of great and authentic home made, and some slightly odd dishes that look bought in. On a hot day, a super cold beer here under the umbrellas in the square outside is exquisite. Open most days for lunch and in the evening. Good humoured and friendly staff. Children friendly. Recommended.

“Home-cooked food in a lovely setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2012

Antonia's is family run. Mum does all the cooking and her sons and daughters take care of the service. Set in the main plaza the terrace has stunning views across to the mountain el hacho. There is a standard tapas menu served everyday but keep an eye open for daily specials which will be on the chalkboard. They also have a great icecream counter inside! Re the comment about expats - Antonia's is well-frequented by ex-pats and Spanish alike - on a Sunday afternoon you'll be hard-pushed to find a table for the large gatherings of Spanish families enjoying the food, drink and ambience.

“On the main drag - full of ex-pats”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2012

Nice enough if you want to hear others talking about the property that they are renovating and which will be worth a £1000000 when they have finished. Food and drink was fine, but for me, I'd rather go to one of the more authentic bars in Gaucin with Spaniards in them.
