Just got back from Club is this suppose to be edible. Don`t get me wrong the place is lovely, the staff were really nice and freindly, we went all inclusive. Appartment was roomy and cleaned every day.First meal set a presidence for all meals that followed. Same fish everyday with a different sauce,stringy fries or snackbar style (rubbery ).We was looking forward to the bbq evening big mistake, they kept everyone waiting until after 8.oopm.Burnt fish. fatty meat (still don`t know what it was ), raw sausages what a choice..NOT!.My partner ate one piece of fish and nothing else. her reward was sickness and stomach cramps next day, no trip to the water park for us then.If we was to return to club brisamar , which we would, then its definately self catering only.Last nite of hols we went to Alvor town for a meal, i`m sorry we did`n`t do this on first night, it was excellent, cheap as well. , The resort could benefit from a decent chef, food warmed up the following day not nice.The pool was great, used the one next to tennis courts, the bar pool a bit too noisy and water no so clean,no rush for lilo`s, plenty to go around.Overall nice place shame about the food !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

The brizamar ? or should I call it Quinta Nova as it was up until about November of last year.

We stuck it out for barely 2 days last year & requested a transfer, which we got really easily. Apparently they were losing money so had decided to close the hotal, give it a revamp& re-open under a different name. It obviously hasn't worked.

The staff a miserable, the guy on reception was an old grouch, The hotel was on a hill (felt like a mountain). Alvor town was a good walk, especially with children. There was a bus (which the reception guy, culdn't decide whether or not it had gone.

We never tried the food as we knew where all the nice restaurants were but apparently it was bad. There was a lot of people last year who weren't happy with this hotel. I was happy to see the back of it. I would pick another hotel in alvor. alvorferias is nice

Just returned from the brisamar apartments.The apartments were beautiful and well spacious and cleaned every day.What a shame about the food in the restaurant.This was our first all inclusive package hoilday and it will be our last. The choice of food was very little and what they had was not ateable, Food was always cold, it was the same type food only dressed up differnetly. My daughter had the soup and she got sick after drinking it.After this we had no choice but to eat at a different restaurant for which i had not buget for as this was an inclusive holiday.The bar staff were nice but the staff in the restaurnat were so rude especially the manager. My wife asked why there was no fruit for breakfast only to be told to bring your own fruit if you want. The choice of food was terrible, they did not cater for Irish or British tourists they only cater for portuguse and spanish people.Overall apartments were execllent, food terrible and restaurant staff rude. Would return to Alvor but not to these apartments because of the restaurant.

Just back from 2 weeks at this complex. It was my first time in Portugal and my third all inclusive holiday. The apartment we stayed in was execellent, full kitchen with a washing machine. We were so happy with this we thought we would enjoy the rest, how wrong i was to think that: We went to go and get dinner in the restaurant and the first thing that hit us was the SMELL by god it was horrible. The choice of food was non exesitent. You either like fish, turkey or pork, thats all there was apart from the usually salad type food and of course CHIPS. In the two week stay i only saw twice were they actually served whole potaotes. The breakfast they served was a disgrace, running scrambled eggs, rashers that were swimming in grease. There was no fruit for breakfast and the coffee machine was always broke during the serving times.They laid on snacks during the day, my children good not eat it as it was hard fish fingers, stale pizza and the food was stone cold.The poolside bar staff were rude and would often leave you standing there waiting to be served.This resulting in us eating out all the time, so the all inclusive deal at this comlex is not worth it. Word of advice DO NOT GO ON A ALL INCLUSIVE PACKAGE TO THIS COMPLEX GO SELF CATERING. The entertainment was very vague, mini disco at nine o'clock followed by bingo for an hour and the bar shuts at bang on Eleven.I loved Portugal and will return but not to this complex they seem to only cater for the portuguse people and not tourists.
