Stayed in this hellhole just three weeks ago. Luckily I was only booked in for a week. Unhelpful reception staff from the very beginning. The apartment buildings had no lifts.The cleaning staff called twice in the week, on each occasion spending less than ten minutes. The doors to both toilets could not be locked. If you took a shower in the bath the water rose up to your knees in a matter of minutes because of chronic drainage problems. The shower tray in the other bathroom could not be used because of this problem. The noise at night and into the early morning was unbearable due to an influx of young Portugese for their bank holiday. They moved all the furniture in the apartment in the directly above us and played football all night for three consecutive nights.Need i go on. Beautiful area to visit , Alvor and lagos are lovely towns to visit,food and beaches were good but keep away from Club Alvoeferias.

We had a spacious one bedroom appartment with a proper bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom + two balconies. Whilst the furnishings are basic and very 1980's, it looked like it had been decorated over the winter and was very clean.

The kitchen was well equipped with a full size fridge, cooker and microwave. The beds do have 'wire mesh' bases. Most budget appartments do in my experience.

The complex has all the facilities you would expect ... 2x adult and 2x childrens swimming pools (cold in May!) bar, resturant, games room, supermarket etc etc. All the staff we met were pleasant and helpful.

It's a good walk to the town and beach. Our 5 year old coped just fine (But we do walk a lot at home) Alvor is a great resort for families with a pretty fishing village / town and 4 kilometres of sandy beach

Just come back from Alvor, weather terrible, one day it was so cold we wore coats and jumpers
I asked the rep what we could do as we had two small children, she basically said ther was nothing to do, she said you really need to hire a car
The apartments were large and clean with English tv which was a bonus when weather bad, only one problem not alot of hot water, quite a walk to Alvor, entertainment does't start until 10.00 in most bars, nothing for kids in bars no play area
Unfortunately because of the weather we didn't get to go to the waterpark. beware if you go out of season we had two half days of sun in one week

Clubalvorferias is an ok apartment complex. Situated about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Alvor.

Plus points - Apartment was a good size and was clean., nice size kitchen and had a cooker not just a 2 ring burner. Not much crockery but enough to get by.

Minus points - Beds were terribly hard (fold out style). Cleaners come every other day.

Alvor was a lovely quaint village, brought up to date with many bars and restaurants. Beach was huge and really nice.

I would go back to Alvor but not to the Alvorferias apartments.
