Superb food. The chefs should be commended on keeping the menu simple. It isn't extensive and the restaurant is quite small but I think this is a huge positive if you are looking for a decent place to eat in a village with a huge number of eateries.
If you are a little fussy about what you eat then you may need to ask the waiter for a description of each dish as it isn't always detailed on the menu. If you love good food then trust in the chef to deliver.
Highlights were the flambed prawns with boild rice and the roast duck breast with a stewed apple and orange sauce. Potatoes and veg were family service and very good.
Service was also excellent, complimentary bottle of house wine when you arrive and also a glass of port as digestif.
We will be returning to Alvor next year and we will be eating at salsa bistro at least twice. Booking is essential as the reputation grows.
