“nice place in Geiranger”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2011

This accommodation was a highligt of our stay in Norway. Reasonable price - 783 Nok for a "large cottage" for up to 5 persons. We were only two and for 2 the size is perfect, for 5 adullts it would be very constrained. The equipment is nice and useful - kitchenette, sitting area, 2 bedrooms, bathroom. And the location is perfect - quiet with view over the fjord, I found it better than hotels in the village, which cost substantially more. Thomas from the reception was very nice and helpful. On the other side it was not a good idea to go there in the beginning of October! All was closed (including the Trollstigen road - we had to go around some 100 km more), no boat trips, the hiking paths were covered by the snow

Agree with most of the other reviewers. Great location, staff is wonderful and very helpful, and the standards were very high in our cabin.

If you've got a few people, definitely hire one of their boats and explore the fjord on your own -- well worth it to be able to set your own agenda and enjoy the scenery at your own pace. With four people, it was more than worth the price, which was similar to what we'd have paid for the Fjord1 boat.

Perfect location, nice and helpfull staff! We stayed four days in a little cabin. Very good standard for the price! We hired a little boat and spent two hours on the sea, so we could see the fjord from sea level. We met a lot of dolfins, wonderful experience! We did also some hiking to amazing places. Highly recomended!

We stayed in a cabin for a couple of nights in early August. We travelled from Bergen but made a mistake with the journey time, meaning we arrieved in the middle of the night. The staff had left a key in our cabin door and a light on for us! the cabin was amazing for the price and we really enjoyed our stay which we won't soon forget!

We stayed in the most basic cabin and it was great. Recently renovated and felt very warm. 2 sets of bunk beds, cupboard, fridge, table and chairs, double hot plate and table and chairs on the veranda with the most beautiful view. Owner and staff very helpful and answered our many questions. Motor boats for hire which was an amazing way to see the fjord. Highly recommended. We wish them all the best for future seasons.

Room Tip: All cabins seemed to be positioned to give great views of the fjord

We rented a self contained cabin for our family of 5, travelling with my elderly parents and 13 yr old girl. The cabin is clean, comfortable, cozy and we could cook a nice dinner there esp important for my parents. Wifi is also available at very reasonable rates
The great part is the location and activities u can get just from the door step. The view from the cabin is beautiful and the fjord is just magnificent. The host are also very friendly and helpful. Will choose this place again if I ever go back to Geiranger.
