We decided to pop into civitella to have a look and decided to have lunch at L'Antico Borgo. Looking at the menu we noticed the Piemontese style and then met Vito the proprietor of the Ristorante.
Everything we had for lunch was stupendous and all recommended by Vito. Piemontese style, freshest of ingredients and presentation special and thoughtful. He also recommended a wine made locally by two women, OMG. Chiassobuio, and Chiarofiore by Tunia Winery.
Vito was very warm and friendly and runs the restaurant with his mother and girlfriend. Spectacular lunch and back for dinner too!!
Take the Civitella exit and go up and visit Vito. A beautiful little village with wonderful ruined fortress, charming Piazza, and view over the Chianti Valley. Very special place..........
