“A gorgeous farmhouse in an amazing location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013 for a stay in July 2013

We stayed at Meaccino in July and enjoyed every moment. The house is off a track and takes a few minutes to reach from the road but is well-worth the journey. It has been built and furnished, simply but beautifully and the views from the property, especially the pool, are breathtaking.
The house is located about 15 mins from Anghiari which is a beautiful place in it's own right, there are excellent restaurants and pizzerias and it is a lovely place simply to stroll around during the day and the evening. It is a small town but seems to have things going on, we had a festival evening on the Wednesday that we were there and I think these carry on through the summer.
The Spar shop is great for a few essentials but the Co-op in Sansepulcro is the best supermarket to get everything you may need.
We loved Meaccino and we loved Anghiari, for those looking for peace and quiet in a tranquil, escapefromitall location yet close by to a lovely town, this is definitely one to consider.
Would recommend a hire car, cannot imagine being located here without one, we drive into Anghiari daily, visited Sansepulcro, Siena and San Gimigano (none of which we loved as much as Anghiari) oh and stock up on the insect spray for when you are out and about in the evening.

To sum it up, a perfect holiday in the perfect location.

“A beautiful house with breathtaking views.”

Everything about our stay at Meaccino was exactly what we had hoped for - absolute peace, a beautiful house and garden with simple but very elegant accommodation, stunning views and a lovely pool overlooking glorious hillside.
The owner was especially helpful to us as we were travelling with four children by public transport - taking care to ensure our stay wasn't tricky without a car. A very kind and unexpected surprise of delicious supplies also greeted us on our arrival, supplementing our own supplies from the village shop, which we bought before getting a large local taxi to the house. Being completely self contained, and enjoying not needing to go anywhere other than for local walks, we had a very lazy and relaxing stay. We would certainly recommend Meaccino to other intrepid car-less visitors who are seeking a beautiful haven away from it all, but also to those who wish to explore all that the wider area has to offer.
