An attractive hotel with an amazing pool. The cacti growing around the pool area are impressive. Views and location of hotel amazing. The restaurant is good -try and get a table in the lower more intimate one overlooking the rocks/sea. We were here in September - end of season - and it did on occasion feel like a number of staff were ready to head home for the autumn. That said, there were all professional and polite and we still enjoyed our stay. The hotel will collect you from the port in its shuttle bus if you let the know you need a lift. Don't get fleeced by the €15 cab fare we were clobbered with, especially as you could walk it in about 20 mins! Enjoy.

We stayed in the hotel in September 2012 for four nights. It was the most incredible relaxing break. The hotel is one of the best Ive ever stayed in. It has a realy nice relaxed boutiquey feel. Im usually disappointed with hotels in Italy as they tend to be quite small and dated looking but this was amazing. It was all beautifully decorated and just has a really peaceful chilled out vibe. The best part is the view out to see over the pool - breathtaking.The pool was very quiet and relaxing in September and you didn’t feel like you were disturbed by other guests or noisy kids running around. From the pool there was a path right down into the sea and if you parked yourself on a lounger out there it was like you had the place to yourself. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful -we were picked up from the port after a long journey by the lovely Nancy, and the restaurant staff went the extra mile to cater for my boyfriend's wheat allergy.

We ate in the cheaper of the two restaurants one night and would recommend. The Tuna Nicoise salad at the bar area was lovely and enough for two for lunch, We sat in the bar every night watching the stars over a glass of vino. We could have lived without the strange 80s piano music but hey ho. The choice at breakfast was incredible -a whole cheese counter, charcuterie, fresh sashimi, pastries,local jams and honey, cakes, fresh fruit and yoghurt and eggs cooked to order. Sicilians don’t really do breakfast apart from a quick espresso and the odd pastry/cake so we were pleasantly suprised. It was so lovely starting your day on a terrace with that beautiful view drinking fresh orange juice (and more often than not a cheeky glass of prosecco!)

Our room was spacious and quiet with a modern bathroom complete with fluffy white robes and a complimentary mini bar full of soft drinks.

The hotel is located about 1km (uphill) from the port in Vulcano. You can walk or get the very helpful hotel shuttle bus. Vulcano itself is quite quiet and the port isnt particularly pretty, but there are a few restaurants, shops and bars. We flew into Catania airport, took a taxi to Milazzo then got the fast ferry (1 hr) to Vulcano. It was a bit of a mammoth journey but the hotel is much more peaceful for being off the beaten track. We did a boat trip to Panaera and Stromboli which was a bit rubbish to be honest. The boat was packed and you didn’t have much room to stretch out and for 40 euros no food was provided. There wasn’t really much to do in Panarea - Lipari would be a better option. So if youre looking for lots going on, Vulcano might not work for you but for some R and R you cant beat the Therasia Resort.

We visited Therasia resort in July, 2012. And all I can it was unforgettable. The hotel is placed in a very scenic part of the Vulcano island, so it was a pleasure to watch the views of the sea and Lipary. Another feature of the Therasia location is very quiet sea. No waves made it easy to swim. That's a really wonderful place. Breathtaking views, good cuisine, friendly staff, jacuzy in the rooms were so important to spend the holidays as we wanted. Thanks a lot !!

Wonderful hotel, perfect location. The service was superb the staff is very professional and accommodating. Worth getting sea view room because the view is incredible. The pool overlooks the sea and so does the beautiful restaurant. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is visiting the island. It is perfect for a romantic vacation but also for a family. I suggest also rending a boat for the day, it is worth it!I have travelled the world and this place is high on my list of the best I have experienced. 10/10.
