The title of this review says it all really: "Simply great!" is a phrase which I don't use lightly, but in the case of the Ringberg it's more than justified.

Having attended the same conference as fellow reviewer "UncleKage", I feel I should expand a little on some of the ways the staff went beyond the call of duty to ensure that our event was a success for the second year running.

As we had more delegates attending the conference than there were beds in the Hotel, we had arranged rooms at a Hotel down in Suhl town centre, with a local taxi company providing an "on demand" shuttle service between the two, as the Ringberg is approximately 5km (3 miles) outside Suhl, 750m (around 2500 feet) up a mountain.

Sadly, the taxi company failed to provide the service required, which culminated in its complete withdrawal approximately half way through the conference.

Not wishing to have a significant number of delegates "stranded" at the Ringberg, the Manager allowed us to borrow the Hotel's minibus to provide the shuttle service, with drivers being "recruited" from the conference staff, until alternative arrangements could be made for the last day of the conference.

Once again, the staff at the Ringberg did themselves proud, and we're already looking forward to returning there for next year's conference.
