The gracious Odile welcomed us to this cottage and showed us to a lovely room overlooking the rolling hills of her farm. She was terrific with sightseeing and restaurant suggestions. Every morning we woke to Odile's preparation of a spectacular breakfast of several different types of croissants, delicious bread and jam, cakes, cereal, yogurt, fruit, and homemade omelettes. While Odile's English was about as good as my French, we managed to communicate very well. This B&B was one of the finest stops on our trip. The location was perfect for visiting the Normandy Beaches, Bayeux, and the lovely Calvados and Camembert regions. One could easily visit Mont St Michel, St Malo and Dinard from this location as well. Best place to stay in Normandy.

We lived in the UK from 2008-2010 and traveled extensively around Europe during that time. I know I'm a bit behind in the review, but I've been trying to go abck and chronicle some of the places that stuck out as either incredible or very poor. La Ferme was definitely one of the former - I would say one of the top 3 lodgings we stayed in during our travels that took us to over 100 rooms.

We loved that this was a working farm, with homemade cider and a few animals on the premises. It really felt like they had opened their home to us. The innkeeper didn't speak much English, and we spoke only broken French, but between the two we were able to communicate enough to have some good conversation and get great advice on things to do, placese to eat, etc.

It is a bit out of the way of some of the sites of Normandy, but we really preferred staying there as opposed to being in the middle of the touristy towns. Felt more like were in the French countryside (and based on the ability of the GPS to find the place I'd say we definitely were). If we ever make it back to the region, this is an obvious spot to return to.

We stayed at the cottage (gite) and it was simply wonderful. Beautiful farm, comfortable rooms and delicious breakfast. Odile is an excellent host! The farm is well located to visit the main tourisitic sites in normandy. Highly recommended.

What can we say but love, love, love this Normandy B&B!! What a fabulous find and great reviews were all true. Odie was marvelous and so gratious. Even though we could not communicate in French with her, her hospitality was spectacular. My niece and I stayed in June on our way from the beaches to Paris. I wish we could have spent more time here with her and Gypsy(the dog). I would recommend this BB for anyone passing through Normandy. You will not be disappointed! The rooms were clean and having the French countryside at your doorstep can't be beat. The breakfast was phenomenal and fresh omelettes were the best. She went really out of her way to make you feel the French hosptiatlity first hand. It was every thing I hoped for on our first visit to France. Close enough to Villers-Bocage to experience a small town ambiance. Even my teenage niece fell in love with this place. Love , LOVE, LOVE it!

Room Tip: We loved the sunny guesthouse and quiet atmosphere with nature all around.

Once again, we owe a memorable stay to Tripadvisor!
We booked La Ferme du Pressoir after having read all these enthusiastic reviews and were delighted to find it even better than expected. Odile is the most hospitable and generous hostess and the rooms are lovely and decorated with superb taste. We ourselves stayed in the Tulip room, but she was so kind as to show us two other rooms, Coquelicot and Hortensia. Absolutely lovely, all three of them. And if you like a comfy, bright bathroom as much as I do, you will love this place. Odile served us both a 'double' breakfast (of which we were invited to take the rest as a picknick), anything you prefer : yoghurt, cereals, different types of bread and loads of pastries, fruit, juices...I defy anyone to be able to finish a breakfast this generous!
If you plan on exploring Normandy or are looking for a stopover like we did on our way to the south of Brittany, , this is your dream B&B!!

Upon the recommendation of 2 couples we know, we stayed with Odeille. And we are so glad we did! Staying at this working farm was like staying at your mom's, without the nagging. Odeille makes you a huge breakfast every morning, then insists you take a bag of pastries for the road. She helped me with my French and never laughed at me when I made mistakes! We stayed in the rose room - beautiful, comfortable, lovely bathroom, everything modern and well kept. Cute dogs too! One hour to Mont San Michel, less to Bayeux, Caen, D-Day beaches, Honfluer. Quiet and restful, highly recommended.

Ditto all of the positive comments made about this wonderful country B&B and it's friendly and helpful owner, Odele (sp?). I wish we had planed an extra day just to take a break from sight-seeing and relax in this beautiful place. We shared the guest house (historic sheep barn that's been entirely redone) with friends.
