“To die for Chocolate”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

This has chocolates to die for. Melt in your mouth. They have tables outside and serve coffee, tea etc. in the warm months of the year. At lunchtime you can have home made tarts with pastry that melts in your mouth, salad, a drink, a decadent cake and ice cream. Love this place

They also have a big choice of different, unusuals tastes.

“All eye wash, buy your chocolate in Switzerland. Don't waste your time.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2012 via mobile

It looks nice but, the women who work there are miserable. You would think that such a nice looking place would blow your socks off with the food and service. The desserts/chocolate are all looks and no flavor. Oh and expensive. I paid 6eur for two tiny fruit tarts and one was moldy underneath the glaze. When I went back and showed the woman at the counter she, looked at it and said" what do you want me to do about it". I was shocked. I have never experienced such rudeness. The lunch offerings are awful. Better places can be had just a few steps away.
If you are hanging your business on tourism then service and quality must be paramount. They miss the mark at Hirsinger.

“Wow what a wasted opportunity, terrible.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2012 via mobile

First service is abysmal not your normal French thing. Absolutely rude. The food looks great tastes pablum. Oh I just need to add how bad the service was. We ordered three tarts and some beverages and they brought it on one plate for four people and when I asked for more plates and silver it took them three trips t o get it and bad attitude. I come to Arbois regularly for the wine industry. It is not my first rodeo in France or Jura. Better to spend your money at the fennet up the street or at the regular boulangerie. You will be disappointed and it .such a nice town to ruin your day at Hirsinger . Don't be fooled by appearances!

“Delicate and tasty chocolates!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2012

We came across this chocolaier by chance during our visit to this lovely town. Couldn’t believe that such a great place existed in a small town like this. The chocolates came in different shapes, sizes and taste. They also had wonderful pastries. We loved them to such an extent that our 16 year daughter even asked for a summer internship there, although got rejected as we were too late to apply!
