We stayed at Sunparks recently as recommended to us and booked a deal online as couldn't find any cheap breaks abroad! The crossing from Dover was straightforward and only an hour drive to the resort.

Check in was very straighforward and we had booked an 'exclusive' 3 bed villa (included a sauna in the bedroom!). The accommodation was really clean and modern and within a couple of mins walk from the pool etc. We have been to Center Parcs on several occassions and we did keep comparing! De Hann Sunparks was very quiet, the pool area fine for the kids but could get a bit chilly!

Food was disappointing, only really pasta/pizza to choose from so worth venturing out to the lovely seaside resort which is really nearby.

Overall, fine for a short break, pre-school and under 10's would love it. I wouldn't take teenagers! I think the break worked out cheaper than going to Center Parks at peak time.

Center parcs have bought this chain out. They have a long way to go to make them remotley equivalent to center parcs! Thye have built new lodges a lakeside exclusive 6 persons we stayed in. Its no use paying the extra for these at they are simply not worth it. Smashed doors, sockets faling of the wall, paint allover the floor, no mirrors etc.... and we they wera ll alike. The exclusive stands for nothing. The pool was appalling no waves working all week. no rapids working. Blocked up slides only used it once! No staff! long long queus. Staff close resturaunts when they want not adhering to the times we were given. The place needs new management and refurbishing .Go to center parcs or just rent a caravan for half the amount we paid and use their facilities everybody else did. Brugge though is beautiful and ostende is nice to. De Hann quiet but very pretty.Nice people in the town. Go but stay elsewhere!

Great place to stay with kids! The houses are very reasonably-priced, clean and the park has nearly everything you'd need. Close to the beach and the adorable Belgian seaside towns. Better by car but public transport is also a viable option.

We've stayed here a few times and have just booked to stay in april 08. Can't fault it really for the price. Friendly service, lots of space even in summer. Handy for beaches and for De Haan, my favourite of the coastal towns. Only 15 minutes' drive from Bruges. If you're trying to entertain a young family on a budget, you can't go wrong.
