“OK, we liked this one!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2011

Other than some previously mentioned items (read the other reviews) namely the small things like no shelf in the shower for their shampoo and such while one is using their nice products, even the big shower in the spa had no shelf, it was on the floor with the soap and shampoo or nothing - and from what I can see here this is a young persons place, nicely restored with quality, very clean and well supplied with what ever one might need, this B and B is hotel like in privacy and design. One books (reserves) and pays extra for using the spa, do this when you book your room reservation, just call them, it is exclusive use of the spa, this spa has just about everything, a big sauna, a big cabin for infrared heat, a big enough steam room, a hot and also cold big shower (two heads) a WC room, a dressing room with everything that the bedroom had, more towels and robes and toiletries, even a mini bar of drinks, there is also a nice small glass tiled swimming pool plenty big for two, and a terrace to cool off, with a wonderful cold splash tip over bucket on the wall (automatically fills with ice cold water). Great lounge chairs inside and out, plenty of heat inside, and a big clock so you can keep track of time. Additionally there is the hot tub spa. Note! Floor gets very slippery and there is no handrail for the hot tub, this is a fault. Handrail ladder for the pool is very loose, and wobbles a lot, but it got me out of the pool twice and held my 400 pounds of dead weight, so it will hold you, just hang on tight!
Note to owners, the many steps up to the bedrooms are not expected, and they are not easy steps for the old or not overly able, steep, narrow and the last set of steps to the bedroom level has no rail what so ever, not even a wall to hang on to, going up or coming down, looks good, but bad idea. Breakfast was rather interesting, good, plenty of quality choices however, the coffee was like water, a surprise in this area. Please improve the breakfast coffee.
Back to what we liked, room was huge, BIG chairs and even the desk chair was wonderfully sit-able, the king-size bed was sumptuous, I want it here at home! Great mattress, soft sheets, lots of good pillows, a dream bed. Windows look out on open fields and fruit orchards, very quiet. Two items with the big bathroom, big shower, huge bathtub, double vanity sink, and one was the placement under the eve of the toilet, no problem sitting, but if a teenage boy or a man tries to stand in front of it to pee, there is a major problem finding a way to do it as the roof slanting in does NOT allow room for the mans head and shoulders, and how many young men want to sit for this? Second item is that the nice big bathroom has no door, maybe because the bathroom has no heat of its own so it needs to be open to the room for heat? (Room has lots of good heat) BUT, no door is on the bathroom, and is well, maybe just a little too personal for most - even couples who are married. It is not the modesty thing, so much as human animal unpleasantness.
Yes, price was good, at 205 euros for two of us with two hours in the spa (private reservation), and the suite with king bed room for one night.

Room Tip: The dining room (not breakfast room) is supposed to be very good, was closed for Christmas Eve.

Just 5 miles from the highway. Lovely rooms, quiet and an excellent restaurant.
We provided to stay one night but after all we stayed for 2.

The (currently) Flemish-language only website was sufficiently enticing for us to book one night en route back through Belgium from Germany. We're glad we did: a highly impressive conversion of a set of attractive farm buildings on the edge of a non-descript village in Limburg has since Autumn 2010 been the base for this highly regarded restaurant, and very well-equipped, comfortable rooms. A warm welcome from the young team (speaking excellent English, of course) makes this an excellent stopping-off point not far from the E40 motorway.
