We were there for 2 nights as part of an InnTravel hiking vacation. They cater extremely well for hikers, bikers & skiers, the even have a drying room for the grubby/wet gear. Our hiking trails ran next to the hotel, while that still didn't prevent us from making mistakes it did provide a good reference point.
The rooms were comfortable, well equipped & clean. The breakfasts & dinners were simple & hearty, even with a vegetarian dinner option, with an excellent wine selection for dinner & strong coffee for breakfast, and perfect for active day. And since we were 10 days in Warsaw & Prague with its 'all meat' diet prior to our hikes start it was nice to have a vegetarian option.
There is a 'Nah & Frish' grocery store next door, for a good selection of snacks (& to grab a beer to sip on while cleaning up from a hike).
The only quirk we found was that their free WiFi was capped at 2gig per room per week & we burned through that in <2 days, but the average hiker/cyclists likely doesn't have a couple of 1 hour Skype video chats, download a series of German podcasts & upload 50 or so pictures to Flickr either.
While everything was great at the hotel, we were there to hike & have now done all of the trails in the area so we would unlikely have a reason to go back, but if we do we'd definitely pick the Landhotel Agathawirt.
