“comfy hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

Spent 4 nights here on a Shearings all inclusive package coach holiday. Hotel was clean and very comfortable, the location and views were amazing. The meals were nice there was something on the menu each evening that I enjoyed and they were always happy to provide an alternative if it was necessary, also help yourself to beers, wines or soft drinks all day too!!!. Good idea of make your own packed lunch each day, saves waste and you get sandwiches that you like. Went to Kitzbuhl and took a ride on cable car views and weather were fantastic. Beautiful cities of Salzburg and Innsbruk both within easy reach of this hotel and well worth visiting. I would recommend this hotel and the trip with Shearings Holidays.

Room Tip: 1 room in our party had front view and 1 had rear view both equally good, fantastic scenery

just got back (sat 20th oct) from shearings all-inclusive holiday to austria, the hotel was a very nice base to see austria and surrounding areas, rooms were clean and tidy,basic,comfortable....but what a view..stunning,we were lucky enough to wake up to a coating of snow which made it look even more special....food was ok..drinks were plentiful and not bad....wine and beer plentiful....staff were friendly enough....would have been nice to have tea and coffee in room but not a problem.
The drive from belgium to kirchberg was very long and tedious..but excellent driving from rob made it easier.two good guids to show us round innsbruck and salzberg were very informative, speaking good english.you must try the ski lift up the slope in kirchberg.....if your going to buy pressies do it when you get to vipoteena in italy its cheaper.....try the cappachino and strudel in the square in innsbruck...lovely.all in all...scenery to die for, made this holiday.

We have just returned from an inclusive holiday with Shearings at this hotel and I cannot fault it.
We stayed in room 300, which was situated at the front of the hotel, with a beautiful view of the mountains. I don’t think it would make much difference which part of the hotel you were in, all of the rooms would have a nice view. The room was very comfortable, spacious, and nipping clean. The weather and visibility were very good and you could not buy the views. The staff throughout the hotel were excellent, especially Sarah at the desk, she gave us the benefit of her local knowledge and a visitors pass enabling us to get a discount on the ski lift. The meals were good and we were able to make ourselves a packed lunch at breakfast, to take with us on our excursions. This saved us valuable time on our sightseeing. The drink was also surprisingly very good. I’m not a larger drinker, but this was good. My wife informed me that the wine was excellent. It was all ‘help yourself’. You must try the ski lift. Don’t be frightened, it is very safe and the views from the top are breathtaking. The village of Kirchberg is within a very pleasant10 minute walk. From here you can get a local bus to Kitzbuhel, a very picturesque town and well worth a visit. For those who wish to travel further, there is a railway station in Kirchberg, which will take you to Innsbruck or Salzburg.

Room Tip: We enjoyed room 300. Excellent views. I did not hear anyone grumble about any of the rooms.

The look of this hotel is certainly very Austrian with its balconies swathed with flowers. The inside was very traditional and clean but certain things could have been improved which I would think was because of the heavier use those things get during the ski season.
The buffet breakfast was continental but still with a lot of choice including a table layed out where we could make our own packed lunch each day and put into the bags provided which already had biscuits and bottled water in them. This not only saved time finding somewhere for a snack at lunch time, but also saved money, especially in a country as expensive as Austria.
Tea, coffee and cake where available (free) when we arrived back from our days excoursion and then it was a free bar with good wine, beer, soft drinks and tea or coffee until 10pm.
The setting of the hotel is wonderful in the Tirol with its lush mountains and pretty town. There was even a hot-air ballon show going on in the area and the sight of about 30 colourful balloons coming through the valley was breathtaking.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel just have a grassed hill view where as those at the front have a view...

Had a lovely time at the lift hotel, the food was good and we had an all inclusive drinks from 10am-10pm. Bedrooms were large and clean, with excellent views. Staff very friendly and helpful. It was only a ten minute walk into the town, or you can catch a bus from outside the hotel.

Room Tip: We had a room at the back of the hotel, with deer running in the fields, it was stunning.

Travelled here on honeymoon Sept 2012 on an all-inclusive coach tor. Initially we were put on the Kronek next door, but as the main group were in the Lifthotel, we had to walk there for our meals, tea, coffee and any other drinks - not far but far enough when its tipping down with rain! We did get moved next door after a couple of days.
The Lifthotel is a lower star rating than the Kronek, but just as good. Larger room and more comfy bed. Wi-Fi access is only in the lobby area and is chargeable (2 euros for 24hours but I think it was 5 for 3 days) On the 1st and 4th nights we had a buffet meal which was great - get down early though- the other nights were ok, but we found the food to be too salty for us and filled up on bread and puddings! If you're here on an all-inclusive, you get to make your packed lunch yourself at breakfast - good but check how garlicky the meat is! Breakfast itself was excellent though - plenty of cereals, breads, spreads and yoghurt. Would definitely go back, but not be fobbed off next door next time.

Room Tip: Don't allow yourself to be put in the Kronek if your main party is in the Lifthotel. Fill up on...
