since I understand Italian and English fluently I would like to share in a meaning of translation to a universal language (still English) that the food served is literally pissing off the guests and even making them sick, stomach sick, one gueast.

the fact of nice location and the nice view (which is for free) does not cover for the poor hospitality. Investment in Spa and furniture is visible in pictures and shall not be part of a review more or less it concerns cleanlyness and freshness.
I really hope this will change cause recent reviews were terrible and I will not recommend my relatives to stay there. Get a new chef and new staff because this is a shame for Austrian hospitality. Dogs sniffing areoung and pissing in the restaurant and serving expensive wine in broken wineglasses and so on. 2011 seemed to be a good year though. I myself have not been there since 10 years so I was there but long time ago and really disappointed by now.

Went there for a late lunch on Friday, 28.12.12. Whilst waiting for our meals, a small dog appeared (I believe it belongs to the hotel but this is immaterial), sniffed the chair leg next to where I was sitting, lifted its leg and.....indeed. I alerted the waitress who apologized and said it would be dealt with immediately. Our food arrived...other people arrived and sat next to the chair...and nothing happened.
The puddle was still there when we settled the bill. The food was nice but in all honesty, this was an off-putting experience which makes one wonder how the general standard of hygiene is - in the kitchen and anywhere else. Would not go back.

We have booked a table for two for Christmas Eve dinner upon recommendation of out landlady from the appartment where we were staying (great place). After we came it took the staff just a minute or two to find our booking and to sort out where to seat us. Ten minutes waiting for placing drinks order seemed nearly in the norm. Anothe ten minutes elapsed to get the opportunity to order the meals. Mineral water nad the wine arrived 33 minutes after our arrival with an apologetical (?) smile from the waiter and a statement "Weihnachten - zu viel leute" (Christmas - too many people). After the waiter poured the wine (45,- euro a half liter bottle) we have noticed that one of the wine glasses was chipped The starters arrived precisely after 93 minutes after arrival. The Carpaccio was fine, the warm starter (fried cheese in bacon) was utterly cold. To get a warm version took another ten minutes. Both starters were nicely presented and tasty. After precisely 2 hours (and several reminders) the main dishes arrived. A pike-perch with peas pureé and potatoe chips (two of those burnt to charcoal quality) and a Wiener schnitzel with potatoe salat (one of the least tasty we ever tried in Austria). Nearly 120,- euro price tag seemed out of any proportion to the service provided.

We were not alone with the experience. An Austrian couple sitting next to us told us they were waiting 45 minutes for the soup, alone other guest after waiting in vain to pay rather walked to the bar area to make the payment.

Last but not least half of us waked up at three in the morning with totaly upset stomack. The day of kiing is totally ruined (hopefully not more) and it gave me time to write this review...

First time for a non-package guest house ski-ing holiday. We have done the 4* ski to the door places in other European resorts. We booked late and accommodation only. Panicked when we read bad reports on this website but were pleasantly surpirsed when we arrived. We did however take our own towels and soap etc. and that was a good tip. Our room was warm, spacious and functional. The breakfast was basic but OK (no hot food) but we knew that before we went. You have to be there before 9.30 as it gets cleared away! We did miss being able to get hot or cold drinks at leisure but we survived! The hotel does indeed "close down" at 6 pm but you still have access to and from, but we were there for the ski-ing and not looking for a party. There are plenty of pubs etc. for that if you are looking for nightlife. Hotel was quiet so ensured a good night's sleep ready for the slopes the next day. Bus stop is right outside for all lifts and this cost is included in your liftpass. If you want to walk to the main street or the main lift, it's only 5 minutes. Guest house has own ski rental facility and boot lockers. The hotel is run by a family who also have a ski school. Wish we had known this before we went. Ski equipment was of a higher quality than we had pre-booked on line from UK. Overall, for a 2* B&B, we were happy with what we got for what we paid and would go back and would recommend it to friends but would just point out all of the above limitations. It wasn't 4* but it was more than we expected and the great snow this year made up for anything else that was lacking. Great resort, great slopes, great mountain food (especially tradiional options), and great range of restaurants for eating at night.
