“Great secluded location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

Very good location fronting the beach and the beach is also pretty private with not much interruptions. One downside is that the transit from mainland to beach is only thrice a day -so if u reach at other times, u would need to wait or arrange ur own travel to the island. Apart from that, the experience was great - staff was very friendly and went out of their way to help out.

When we booked we were not advised that the last resort ferry left at 4pm, in fact we never received a reply to our email asking what the ferry times were. When we arrived at 5pm our taxi was directed to a well worn jetty where we were charged 2500 Bht for a 20 minute ride in an old boat and dropped off in knee depth water, not a great start. We tried to phone the resort when we arrived at the jetty but could not get an answer. We advised reception that we had emailed them to ask about times for the ferry and had not received a reply. There was no apology, but we were told it would be looked into, never heard any more on that.
Our room was clean and stylish however the ocean view was not more a glimpse. When questioned we were advised the resort was full and we were moved the next day to a room with a better view.
The breakfast was fine, plenty of everything, but certainly not the best buffet breakfast we've had.
The beach was superb and the pool was lovely, plenty of sun-lounges to relax in. The snorkelling was also great.
When we left we used the complimentary resort boat, this was a much nicer way to travel and the reception area on the mainland a world away from what we encountered on arrival.
A lovely resort but make sure you know what time the resort ferry leaves

This was our last night in Koh Samet, and we are so glad we stayed here on our last night. It really was paradise, and we were soo relaxed. The water was beautiful and time just went by so fast. We also enjoyed a buffet on the beach near Ao Prao along watching fire dancers.

It was perfect, with the added touch of being transported back to the main island with the company speed jet.

We are an internationally experienced family, with two teenagers and a 6 year old daughter. We are used to travel and live well, and also had high expectations when arriving to Le Vimarnn, but the hotel exceeded our expectations and were truly fantastic.

We stayed one week in two stylish spa-villas first line in front of the sea, and we recommend anyone that can to spend some extra money to stay there.

People make difference and the Hotel Manager Mr Yamngamlur and the Restaurant Manager Mr Iamjuy has gathered a group of truly supportive and professional staff around them.

The Restaurant had a very good standard and the SPA-was absolutely wonderful, and there was a treatment for everyone, from hard sport-massage to Thai-massage and more exclusive treatments.

We will be back for sure.

Room Tip: Take one of the Spa-Villas if possible, they are all located first line in fron of the sea, and with...

Stayed here for five night in January. This was our second time on Koh Samet, and during this trip we also stayed at Saikew beach resort. I would say that this is a completely different type of hotel. First, the location is really really off. I you want to have a lot of dining option by walking distance, and some bars and action, you should stay somewhere else. Second, this is a beach which is more or less dominated by the two sister resorts Vimarn and Ao Prao. It's a luxury resort which aims to provide you with everything you needs. There are a three different restaurants, operated by the resort (there is one more resort on the beach, Lima Coco resort, wich their own restaurant).
We loved it!!!!!!!During our five nights here, we only left to have one dinner on another beach - and we spent one day relaxing at another beach. The bungalow was really nice, it was decorated with rich dark wood furnitures, there was a minbar, a DVD and TV and a large king size bed. The bathrom was large and clean. We had a bit of an ant problem in the sink, but I guess you need to be prepared for this when staying in a hut close to the djungle. It didnt bother us at all.

The breakfast was good, perhaps I would have expected a bit more at a luxury resort but it was good. We had dinner both at the italian and the thai restaurant. The italian one could of course not measure up to propoer italian food - but the thai restaurant (Buzz) was excellent . actually one of the best thai resturants during our trip.

We had an amazing time, and although the beach wasn't a big and comfy as other beaches on the island it offered an amazing sunset each night. Also you could do pretty good snorkeling (compared to other place on the island) from the beach. Beware of seaurchins though, they got stranded on the beach on the afternoons, thanks to the tide, so mind your feet.

If you don't want a lot of action (you can always find a rental scooter or take a taxi though), and if you are prepared to pay a bit more for luxury comfort (not that much more though) I would definitively recommend this place! If we go back to Koh Samet for a third time, I think this will be our preferred resort.

We stayed for 2 nights only but it was such an excellent experience since the first time we set foot on the beach in front of the lobby, that we would definitely come back here again someday.
The staffs were attentive and helpful. The room was very nice though our hot tub wouldn't drain.

This hotel also provides boat ride from/to Ban Phe, so you would need to contact the hotel for that.

The breakfast was good, though could be better. Try the boiled rice. It's soooooo good!

The overall service was definitely top-notch.

We were take by speedboat to the resort from ban phe. The location is lovely. The beach was good and the water warm and still. No waves! Stayed in room 601 winch has a nice view. Rooms were really nice. Staff was very helpful. Stayed for three days which is just about perfect for us as there isn't much to do.
