Great bed, king size, which was just as well because the room was very hot. The windows only open a couple of inches. No windows in the very small bathroom. Shower was small but ok. Staff were pleasant and friendly and everything was clean. What a beautiful little town!

The location was the only good thing about this place. Very overwhelming deodorising smell throughout room and reception. Room very small and stuffy-no air con. Tiny bathroom and shower didn't even have a shelf for soap or shampoo. Towels were threadbare. Room wasn't very clean.

In town for one night, my partner was sick so we were unable to go to the hot pools. The room was tidy and comfortable although a lot smaller than I realised from the photos online. I had heard good things about the place through friends though so was not too bad. For the romantic evening we had ideally wanted, it wasn't a particularly romantic place to spend the night but was clean and tidy which is what mattered. The bed was horribly soft and we ended up sleeping on top of each other in the middle which was uncomfortable. Also the headboard was not connected to the bed at all so any time we sat on the bed it banged against the wall. We ended up removing it as it was annoying. Was a tidy place and walking distance to town. Would probably stay there again if I was travelling by myself.

We recently stayed one night at Drifters Inn after a wedding........so wish we were staying for longer. As we were only sleeping there for a few hours before heading home, we booked a small room (we were advised on booking that it was small). However, it was well appointed, comfortable and immaculately clean. We were shown the community lounge and so wish we could have lingered there with a glass of wine, or two....
Our room had tea and coffee making facility and if we wanted to cook breakfast we could have used the guests' well appointed commercial kitchen.
Very handy to the pools and with such a friendly welcome we will definitely book here again should we return to Hanmer!

Room Tip: For a longer stay opt for the larger rooms.

We stayed here for the location to the pools. We stayed one night in winter to check out the town. The pools were fantastic cold in the night air so the luxurious complimentary towels for the pools came in handy!
We booked an adjoining room both with their own bathrooms and double bed so we had a lot of room for the 4 of us. A good assortment of teas in the room was a nice touch.
Location is close to many restaurants and activities in Hanmer Springs.
Our hosts were lovely and the continental breakfast was wonderful. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

We were looking for a room for the night and we came across a sign outside this hotel advertising $100 night so we went in. Yes we got a room for that price but it was very small altho we did have an ensuite.
The hotel provides an awesome kitchen which you can cook any meals there which was great and an amazing fire in a brick fireplace with lovely comfy sofas to sit by.
The hotel is opposite the hot pools so that was a good asset and the very friendly managers gave us free towels for 2 days even when we only booked for one night. We were also allowed to keep our vehicle parked at the hotel until we were ready to drive onwards with our trip.
All in all a friendly atmosphere and good facilities. Would recommend.

On Friday night which was a quite night in Hanmer Srings we saw the sign outside from $100 a night, so my sister and I went in to book but the $100 rooms all of a sudden become $140,00 and when I asked for there best price deal I was told that was it. The room we were shown was so small just enough for the single beds so I wonder if the $100 rooms were the wood shed outside. Last year they also had the same sign out that is why I thought I would give them a try but went around the corner and got a lovely motel instead.

Room Tip: Rooms are very tiny
