We visited the Powerhouse Cafe for the last dinner of our roadtrip in Feb. 2013. We didn't have a reservation so we just popped in and luckily got a table for two. The waitress, a perfect english speaking south american was lovely and attentively.
We decided us for a garlic bread and the scallops - prawns entree which was a good decision. the seafood often gets over cooked, but not there. the chef perfectly sauteed the seafood to a tender meal. As mains we had the merino mutton and the duck. Both cooked to to perfection. an explosion of flavours. I'd say it was a meal for advenced eaters.
Unfortunately the portions were too generous and we had to skip the deserts.
Thank you Powerhouse. We highly recommend you!
