“Hearty Good Chinese Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2012

Fresh seafood, great roasts (especially the roast pork with great crackling) and reasonably priced too. A bit crowded and noisy though.

“Excellent Chinese Food in Melbourne, may be the best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2012

This is a very casual style chinese restaurant and do not expect whit table cloth service! The BBQ were very good, fresh and authentic and just the BBQ and some rice and vegetables will be a very satisfying meal in itself. They do a very good mud crab with ginger and green onion, and make sure you ask them to put some noodles in the bottle of the dish, it will soak up all the excellent sauces from the crabs and giner! The sweet and sour pork was amazing, it is one of the most challenging dish to cook well in any chinese menu, but Pacific does it with flying colours! Just the right amount of sauce and tender meat! One small thing, since it is a semi casual eating place, the like to turn the tables quickly hence do be offended if they place the bill on your table before you ask for it. Just the way it is......and you can BYO too. Excellent restaurant in Melbourne, and seating here is actually more comfortable than their Victoria St. branch.

“Always packed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2012

Located in Toorak Road this restaurant is a gem. I cant believe it took me 30 years to find! It is always very busy so if you are after a quiete meal not the place. Everyone is served soup when you sit down and then it's hard to choose from the huge menu. My favourite is the mixed roast- duck and pork. The duck skin is crisp and the crackling on the pork is delicious. This is a bustling busy restaurant at all hours so make sure you book or be prepared to wait for a table.

“OK!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2012

Had a lovely lobster noodle dish after the waiter brought the creature to be inspected at the table ('twas a bit yuk but the end product was rather delicious). The mandarin pork was a trifle overdone - tasted fine but was chewy.

For Chinese outside of Chinatown, this is the place. Fantastic!
