Better off spending a little more of your money and finding a place worth your money and time. This place I came across at the last minute. Me and my husband were reluctant to stay at this place as soon as we got there. But he was tired and just wanted to relax. The rooms are dull and would be better off just having a bed and throwing everything else out. We didnt bother sitting in the one chair that was in the room and the balcony doors are in dire need of repair. Breakfast could be better but at least it is something for you to start the day off with. The restaurant is closed and they have something they call the merandero but its more like a kiosk for the community or maybe I should say barrio this hotel is placed at. People "locals" drinking there at all hours from morning until late evenings and the lady who cooks "though good" looks like shes on something. Other than that staff was nice and gave us directions to el yunkue and the ferry docks to go to vieques island. Hate to say this but this place is a last resort. Needs alot of work.

We arrived at night and drove here in the dark. I must say this place was at first rather disappointing. Basic and a bit bleak - probably was nice once and hopefully will be again - this place is under repair as the sea wall collapsed so you can't get near the water. The outdoor pool table was covered up and the patio was full of construction debris. Their restaurant was closed up tight but breakfast is served across the lane and is McDonalds quality - you get to eat it with the local guys drinking beer in the morning, which might be a kind of authentic experience. Rooms are simple without a decent chair or hook to hang a towel on. Walls are bare but there is nice art in the halls. It is overall quite clean. The staff is friendly and means well but this place needs to get its act together real soon. They seem to have lowered their rate a bit so you get what you pay for. A strip of good food kiosks is a short drive nearby and Loquillo beach is gorgeous.

Basic but nice. The room is fine, small tv, bathroom is nice. The artwork throughout the hotel is nice. The balcony with access and view to the ocean is under construction so we didn't get a great view, but its not bad from our little balcony. Breakfast was delicious, made to order, so you didn't get rubbery eggs.

I arrived expecting the Yunque Mar Beach Hotel to actually have a beach. apparently recent storms have caused extensive damage to seawall, step and adjacent areas. There was no beach and even if there were it would have been unaccessable due to storm damage. the staff was very friendy and helpful and room was clean.....but in current state of repair cannot recommend.
