They make the best Fried Pork with Mofongo of all the east coast!! Absolutely delicious! The meat is tender and juicy and the mofongo very tasty and soft.

“Empanadillas and fried yuca the best!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2014

We had a dinner at La Parrilla together with our friends. We got a very nice table ,nearby waterwall. The service was very good . For a starter we had empanadillas and fried yuca. It was something else as well, but I remember just empanadillas and yuca. There were one of the best we had in PR. For main I had fried pork with rice-very simple dish, but prepared really very well, very tasty, very crispy outside and very tender inside. My partner had rack of ribs, nicely prepared. The only not a nice surprise it was when we got a bill. The ribs costs $45! Compare to my fried pork which was $7,50 it was very expensive. And the ribs were not in the cart at all,and the waiter didn't warn us about the price.
So- the best empanadillas and fried yuca and the most expensive ribs!

“excellent food”

The food at La Parilla is primarily seafood. They have captured the essence of authentic Puertorican food and offer a variety of selections. Try the yuca mofongo.

“Impressive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014 via mobile

Not cheap, La parrilla delivers, especially seafood of the first quality. do not miss the deep fried grouper chuncks as appetizer ( that and a side dish would make a whole meal in itself). We also had empanadas de pescado (fish turnovers) which were just fried, flaky, only slightly timid in the flavor department. Hot sauce woke them up a bit. For mains we ordered carne frita dry rubbed chunks of pork, deep fried) which came moist, tender amd crisp on the outside. Also yuca mofongo with chicken breast chunks in a sweet peper and garlic cream sauce. Didn't care for the sauce, but the dish was flawlessly executed. Nice waitres,, awake, caring and on top of things.

“Great mofungo and seafood”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2014

The hype is totally valid the food here is fresh and great.

Fried grouper appetizer - soooo crispy on the outside and flakey on the inside. Amazing. I could have eaten this for dinner.

Shrimp chowder (or gumbo? really not sure) - this was incredible. So so good. My friend who doesnt even like shrimp loved it.

Chicken with yuca mofungo - the mofungo was nice and salty. I usually dont like mofungo because it's too bland but this was perfect. the chicken was really tender.

Fried red snapper - this was not as great as everything else. A little bland and overcooked.
