“Yummy food and a friendly, accomodating staff!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

We returned for a second time. A welcoming staff and pleasant atmosphere, along with yummy food in the heart of Luquillo.

“Lovely cafe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2012

This was a nice stop off after a morning of surfing in La Pared. The food was good, the service was wonderful and they spoke spanish and english which was helpful. The coffee was strong just the way we liked it and it was pleasant.

“Real salads and fresh vegetables - a rare find in this neck of the woods!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2012

This is a cozy-but-spacious restaurant with a menu that incorporates both local flavors and European style cuisine (French, Spanish, Italian). The menu is fairly large with daily specials, and the dishes were freshly prepared. I had some delicious seafood paella, and my niece had some tasty pasta, and both of us enjoyed the first fresh salads we had seen since San Juan! Their dessert specialty is "fried cheesecake," which I would have never ordered but for traveling with an 11-year old whose favorite desert is cheesecake. It was actually quite delicious, and a very inventive Puerto Rican spin on New York - style cheesecake. The menu contains both some very sophisticated dishes and some crowd-pleasers -- both kids and adults, picky and adventuresome, can find something to like on the menu. There is also a full bar and decent wine list. It's a very short walk from the Luquillo Sunrise Inn where we stayed. Give it a try -- especially if you have grown weary of fried food!

“Good food, good price, but slow and discombobulated service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2012

The chef is very good, and the food is great, and prices are reasonable, but they are very slow, and often get confused in taking the orders. For desert, try the crepes with pistachio ice cream - to die for.

“Wonderful Place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2012

I stopped in randomly for a happy hour cocktail and was the only person in the restaurant (I was there mid-week in the offseason). Richelle was very friendly and I ended up staying for a Ahi Tuna Salad (which was amazing) and a couple mojitos. Richelle was so nice and helpful about the area and even gave me a tour of the three units they rent above the restaurant. I will definitely return and stay at the Miramar on a future visit. Very close to the beach with boardriders bar and grill and Guava's just around the corner.
