We saw signs on the highway advertising this resort and restaurant, so decided to give it a try for breakfast. We drove in off the highway and found the resort. It consisted of many cabins, a lodge, a restaurant and a bar right on a lake. We walked it and no one was there. then a woman asked what do you want? My husband said we were going to have breakfast. So we went in to the front part overlooking the lake. The restaurant is made up of 3 parts, a big back part, the front part and an outside patio. We were brought menus and ordered coffee while deciding what to get.
we ordered and my husband had a normal breakfast-eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast.
I ordered a western sandwich. My husband got juice, and a fruit dish included and I got a fruit dish included, which made my husband say usually if you get free items up front the meal is usually not that great. I did not necessarily believe that but he was right. His eggs were hard cooked, instead of easy over. His toast was not well done like he asked. The hash browns he got and so did I were overdone and tasted like the oil needed to be changed. My husband did not like his meal, and my sandwich was okay but I only ate a few hash browns and they really upset my stomach. We asked the waitress were everybody was and she said oh, they are still sleeping. this was at 10:30 am. For such a lovely setting, we were really disappointed. They could make so much of this location.
