“A good place for an overnight stop if not longer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2011

We actually stayed 2 nights which seemed to surprise the front desk - possibly the majority are passing through on their way to somewhere else. The reception area has a liquor store, and small shop which was useful but we had to wait in line while lotto tickets were being checked before we could check in.

We asked for a quiet room away from the pub at the end of the building. The room had been redecorated recently and was equipped with fridge, microwave, flat screen TV, 2 double beds and a small table with 2 chairs. The connecting bathroom has also been updated. There was a window air conditioning unit that was noisy but efficient. We did have one issue with music playing all night long in the shop below that could be heard very clearly through the bathroom floor and muffled in the bedroom. We also found it odd that on day 2 that our towels were changed -even though we hung them up so we could reuse them - but the beds were not made. However, this did not spoil our stay.

We ate in the restaurant that was reached through a door by reception even though it was not affiliated with the hotel. We had 2 excellent breakfasts, one really good supper and one reasonable supper. The service was friendly and prompt. We did find it disconcerting that we were not given an itemized bill but were just told how much the meal cost but I don't think that we were overcharged.

Room Tip: We were in rooom 10, would ask for room 12 next time

Nice place, friendly accommodating staff, well appointed room. We would stay again. Decent restaurant attached to hotel. This would be a great place to set up as a base and explore the surrounding area.

Very nice friendly staff. Rooms all different and have character, air conditioning, fully equipped kitchen and WiFi. Not your standard basic motel. Clean room, good attached restaurant and bar. Lillooet features a super mountain and Fraser river environment, town museum and excellent bakery in town

Room Tip: Talk to the reception staff

This hotel is an old hotel that has been renovated. Our room was very clean, good linens and great bathroom. We had room 12 and were not bothered by any noise. The hotel is decorated with antiques and old pictures, very charming. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Both were good. If you are going to Lillooet this hotel is well worth a visit.

We loved this hotel. The staff were helpful, the room was comfortable, clean, spacious and with an excellent bathroom. We had a good nights sleep and did not experience the noise spoken of by some reviewers. Lillouet was a fascinating place and in many ways we wished we had spent longer.

We were traveling with another couple. We had room 12 which is a mini-suite with room to spread out. We did hear a bit of stair noise during the night, but no noise from outside. Our friends were in room 22 at the other end of the hallway. They liked their room too. Bed was comfy and linens were nice. Room was very clean. I'd stay there again.
