This hotel was booked at the last minute by a work colleague. For what it is it is vastly overpriced. We each paid £70 a night for B&B in small rooms with limited or no views.

I'm not sure the rooms were cleaned that thorougly, the large dead fly on the floor of my bathroom was still there after two nights.

The breakfast was poor and service not brilliant. Having experienced the breakfast we ate out in the evenings.

I would not use this hotel again, but would try one of the local B&Bs.

I recently stayed at this hotel with a colleague, carers for people with limited abilities. Our trip was enjoyable although the weather wasn't very good. The actual hotel was fine serving good food to suit all, but most outstanding was the attention from staff, their thoughtfulness and willingness to be of assistance can not be faulted

Was disappointed with standard of hotel.
Run down, tired / stained furnishings,Dont know how hotel managed to obtain three stars/ crowns from Scottish Tourist Board,
Would definately be aware of this in future.
Food was bland and generally tasteless, but .staff were overall helpful, although older staff a bit less so.
Note, no lifts in hotel, so would need sturdy legs if appointed to upper floors,
Views from upper floors not bad from front of hotel.
Hotel smelled like an old folks home, and could do with a decent air freshening/ odour removal.
On the plus side, room housekeeping wasn`t bad, and for £46.50 pppn bed breakfast and evening meal I suppose you can`t complain too much.
However, On my next visit to Mallaig, I will definately be booking in to a superior standard B&B (West highland Hotel is the only hotel in Mallaig)

Nice clean hotel friendly staff views from the rooms and front lounge are stunning , staff go out of their way to get the guests to mix . breakfast was good.
