“A nice traditional cafe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2014

We stopped for lunch at this quite traditional café. Good food at reasonable prices. Good service too and friendly. I can thoroughly recommend the hot smoked salmon sandwich it was absolutely delicious! My daughter had the battered sweet chilli prawns and they were lovely too.

“Nice food & friendly service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2014

Ducked in here out of the rain for a bite to eat and wasn't disappointed. Wide and extensive menu, good food and really nice, friendly staff.

Also impressive was just how on the ball they are about allergies (eating out around the West cost of Scotland with a shellfish allergy can be a little Russian roulette-ish at times).

Well worth a stop, and the haddock was as good as anywhere else I've paid far more for.

“Fab, don't pass it by”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014

Stopped in last week during a trip round that part of the country. Great setting and we say outside as the weather was fab. Fantastic food, speedy service and great chat from Geoff.
One of the best breakfasts I've ever had.
Totally recommended. It would be a local haunt for me if I lived closer.

“Busy cafe in the heart of the village”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2014

We stopped by for a quick lunch and even though all the tables were taken we were served promptly outside by a friendly man. Nachos to share at the start which were fine, nothing special, but my husbands curry was tasty and my venison sausages served with mash and red cabbage were satisfying.
