“Fab, don't pass it by”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014

Stopped in last week during a trip round that part of the country. Great setting and we say outside as the weather was fab. Fantastic food, speedy service and great chat from Geoff.
One of the best breakfasts I've ever had.
Totally recommended. It would be a local haunt for me if I lived closer.

“Busy cafe in the heart of the village”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2014

We stopped by for a quick lunch and even though all the tables were taken we were served promptly outside by a friendly man. Nachos to share at the start which were fine, nothing special, but my husbands curry was tasty and my venison sausages served with mash and red cabbage were satisfying.

“No nonsense, friendly cafe providing good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2014

Waterside cafe fits the bill for anyone wishing to stop off for some good food and a drink of tea. The cakes are excellent and the food of the main menu is not pretentious. The prices reflect the content of the menu well and are affordable.

It is a popular venue for locals and passing trade. I would recommend this cafe to passing cyclists seeking some good sustenance for their onward journey.

We certainly visited Waterside on numerous occasions in preference to spending out money in some of the trendier expensive cafes popping up in the Highlands.

The people running the cafe are friendly and helpful to customers.

Perhaps my only recommendation to the cafe would be the inclusion of a good coffee machine for coffee lovers.
