“Biker friendly b&b”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Excellent b&b with a wonderful restaurant. Very good food, excellent service. The room was spacious, modern, clean and cosy with a fantastic view. Biker friendly accomodation and if you get a front facing room you will be able to keep an eye on your bike.

We'll definately be back here again.

Room Tip: Try and get a room at the front with a view of the loch

Great place to stay. Dinner was served with the best of produce and one of the best steaks I have ever tasted. Wonderful breakfast too with an excellent choice. Wendy and Peter made us very welcome and it was obvious they were doing everything to make our stay enjoyable..

This B&B is just perfect - the room was spacious, modern and cosy with a fantastic view. The bathroom was modern and perfectly clean. Breakfasts are to die for, not only delicious but also served in a very nice restaurant. The hosts are very nice and helpful. I would say Rockvilla offers much more than a usual B&B and I would definitely recommend to stay here while in Scotland.

Stayed here for two nights during a driving tour in the Scottish Highlands. The Rockvilla Guest House is very comfortable and the owners Wendy and Peter are friendly. The room was of a good size as was the en suite bathroom. The accommodation was actually cheaper but of a higher standard to some hotels we stayed at during our trip. The breakfast is freshly cooked and very nice. I would have no hesitation in returning if I am in the area again.

Scotland was very busy this year, and we went at a busy time of year. We stayed in the room with 2 twin beds which honestly we were grateful to get. This room is not on the side with the view, but the room is spacious, with a heater, and windows that open. I was also grateful that there was a clock with a ipod dock so I could charge and listen to my music. I thought the dark tartan was a clever choice, especially for curtains as this made the room dark and warmer.
We were exploring so we didn't take advantage of eating in, we went on to Applecross. The location on the loch is very pretty, the hosts are friendly, and the price point is great.

This b& b deserves 5 stars! Situated on the loch, the room was spotlessly clean and enormous, allowing us space to move around (not usually found in b&b's) and had a perfect view. Wendy & Peter were warm hosts (as was their friendly dog), the dinner available was delicious, as was the breakfast they serve. I would be more than happy to return there when in the area.

Room Tip: Ask for the front double room - spacious and what a view!

We arrived in the Rockvilla cold an soggy after a long motorcycle trip, we were warmly welcomed upon arrival by our hosts Wendy & Peter. The accommodation is spotlessly clean, spacious, tastefully decorated and very well maintained. After surrendering our boots and wet gear to the drying room, we settled into our room (No 2 - Twin, overlooking Lochcarron) before heading down to the dining room for dinner. The Guest house is licenced, so we had a couple of beers before our evening meal. Peter has a good selection of local bottled beers on offer as well as the usual wines & spirits.

Dinner was fabulous. A good menu with some additional specials. the food was of the highest standard using quality local produce. Presentation was excellent. Wendy does not hold back when it comes to portions!

We had a comfortable nights sleep before the most amazing breakfast before we left!

I've stayed in Lochcarron before and in my opinion, this is by far the best in terms of quality, comfort, cleanliness and value for money. Its in an ideal location with ample parking right outside.

Wendy and Peter are fantastic hosts, very knowledgeable about the area and will make you very welcome. Looking forward to returning.

Make this your first choice if thinking of staying in this area!

Room Tip: Book early & dine in!
