We've now been to Harrisons 5 times over the past 3 months, 3 times they were Excellent, 1 time they were Very Good and 1 time they were Good.
The road/lane leading up to the restaurant has now been tarmac'd which makes life a little easier.
The restaurant is quite large and booking isn't usually required, however the last time we went the place was packed. They also have seating out on the terrace which on a summer evening is just sublime, the views over Strangford Lough towards the Mourne Mountians which are visible on a clear day, are wonderful
The Service is Good and friendly
The food is good quality but the menu is limited, however the prices are excellent
We have had several dishes and only once were we a little disappointed.
The Chicken Maryland is just the best Chicken Maryland ever, the batter was light and crispy! - well it was the 1st 3 times we had it the last time however it was not as good - just an off day I think - If I'd had the last version which had Bread-crumbed chicken instead of battered ? I still would have thought that it was very good - very tasty, etc but the restaurant was Very Busy and I think they ran out of battered Chicken??? I have to repeat that the 1st 3 time it was fantastic.
As an added bonus you can BYO wine and they don't charge any corkage!!!
The desserts are top notch as well - save some room for them you'll not regret it.
Well worth the trip down to Greyabbey which is a very pleasant drive.
Bring a bottle of wine and on a sunny evening sit out on the terrace and relax, enjoy the good food and the view
