Visited here with a number of relatives and had an enjoyable time. A word of warning! Do not choose one of their pies if you are planning to eat an evening meal - it can't be done! What whoppers!
Having said that I've never seen scrambled egg served on dry toast before, the toast takes on a life all of it's own as you try to cut into it Some on the plate, some on the table, some in your lap, and of course, some on the floor. A couple of our party had the afternoon tea and that looked delicious.
One weakness, no pun intended, was with the tea. A couple of the tea pots were refreshed with hot water- cheerfully supplied - but goodness me, the resulting liquid didn't have the strength to crawl out of the pot. Definitely one pot tea bags.
For the mechanically minded you had a variety of 10-12 post war cars to droo- sorry view. An E type Jag, a Bristol, a Bentley an MG etc. all spring to mind. Plus some old motor cycles and lots of motoring memorabilia. Funny how the party split into two, by gender, at this point, the lads all looking at cars and the lasses all in the shops.
In summary, it's a bit different, and a welcome change to all the garden centres!
