“Never disappoints”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013 via mobile

I've been a customer at Nick's Kitchen for the last couple of years and it is always really, really good. He's a 30 minute drive away so I don't get there as often as I'd like but I keep coming back.
Breakfast, lunches and evening fine dining, I've done them all here. Quality food beautifully cooked and Nick and his staff couldn't be nicer.

“Excellent Food and Friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013

The food was faultless and Nick was ever so friendly, accommodating and efficient. However, the layout of the restaurant seems undeserving for the quality of the food. You enter into what seems more like a cafe downstairs and although the upstairs is very nicely decorated it still lacks atmosphere. Despite this, we would be more than happy to visit again.

“Yet another faultless meal at Nicks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

Recently had a "private dining" meal at Nicks. No special occasion, just 8 friends getting together. The food was as perfect as always. None of our friends had been to Nicks before and they all loved it - said it was like eating superb restaurant food in the comfort of your own home. The private dining experience is so good - comfortable and cosy. Service is excellent and so polite. But most of all, every bit of food you put in your mouth is simply stunning. Chocolate fondants were particularly fab and all gooey in the middle, which isn't easy to get right! Thanks Nick.

“Nick certainly can cook”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

Stopping in Holmfirth we wanted a snack and spotted Nick working in his tiny kitchen on the ground floor of the cafe. We were intrigued and decided to go give his place a try. We were not disappointed - his food is innovative and delicious, and the upstairs cafe is small but very comfortable. The "Yorkshire Croque Monsieur" with cheddar and Yorkshire ham was made extra-special with a welsh rarebit topping, and was clearly made by someone who loves to cook and cooks well. His evening menu looked amazing too. The couple next to us, who had visited many times before, had a long conversation with Nick about slow cooked pig's cheeks and were persuaded to try them. They pronounced them utterly delicious. What a lovely place.

“Excellent Food and Good Value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

Have been to Nick's Kitchen a few times now and have never been diapointed. A good menu with ample choice. Each dish thoughtfully prepared, well presented and most importantly tasting excellent. Great location in the middle of Holmfirth tucked away down a quaint cobbled alleyway.
